@feodor2 thanks for this browser "mypal-68.14.5" it work very well on Windows 2000 SP4

Awesome News!

My Acer Aspire One install has hit a few driver issues.  Once those are resolved, this device will be on Windows 2000 + Mypal.

I remain VERY OPTIMISTIC that Mypal 68 will dethrone my DAILY need for Serpent 52 (which no longer works 100% for my needs in XP).

Hoping we get a SSE version (1 Computer) and a XP64 version (an other computer). Theses versions are missing.

But @feodor2 didn't say that. :P It is just your request. Your post is a bit misleading due to your wrong quotation. Anyway! You can vote for a new SSE version here: https://github.com/Feodor2/Mypal68/issues/164

I still use WinXP pro, with uSP4 and MyPal 68.14.5b works fine for me. Best browser for XP at this point ... IMHO

EDIT to add:My processor support both SSE+SSE2, not sure which would be better for me and others, but would love to see either in future editions please!

@feodor2 Unfortunately, I have to report that the website amazon.de is no longer working in Mypal 68 as before. I tested it in both versions 68.14.4b and 68.14.5b. Here is one link as an example: https://www.amazon.de/Original-Blumax-DMW-BCG10E-Panasonic-DMC-TZ31/dp/B00I04P3ZU?nsdOptOutParam=true&sr=8-3 When I try to open this page, the loading process is a torture compared to how it was months ago. It always stays at 100% CPU utilisation regardless of whether the website has been fully loaded (or appears to be fully loaded) or not. Although my hardware is weak (single core CPU Pentium 4 Northwood 2.8 GHz), amazon.de has worked tolerably well in Mypal 68 in the past. BTW, in New Moon 28, this site is loading much faster and comes to an end without 100% CPU utilisation. As far as I noticed, the issue is related to the loading of images and media. Even the additional use of uBlock Origin couldn't help, unless you neuter the site to the point of informationlessness. :P

P.S.: With the help of additional user scripts and own filters for uBO, I was able to tame a bit the amazon.de website. Now, the loading process finally ends at some point. :P But all loaded images and media definitely lead to extremely higher processor utilisation than before. :thumbdown The entire loading process still takes some minutes.

The new version not completed yet, to be during next month.

@dapgo This addon has "incognito": "not_allowed", while Mypal not - thus fails. I removed that thing at all - addons enabled regardless private mode.

However mypal has own multitabs

When Smooth scrolling is disabled in the latest 68.14.6b (`general.smoothScroll`)
Then the links positions are not scrolled when scrolling the page.

You can try to load results from a search engine and you will see all links highlighting correctly if you have not scrolled the page at all.

Now scroll down a few notches

when you hover your mouse on a link it no longer highlight and you can get a link above the cursor to highlighted.

I really dislike the smooth scrolling, I would be very happy if the option to disable it was still usable.

for now I have to enable smooth scrolling of keep the old version.

Edit: the temporary solution for me is to set  `general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel.durationMaxMS;0`

@feodor2 First of all, thanks for all your efforts! :) Especially for restoring the compatibility with the legacy Custom Buttons extension in Mypal 68.14.6b. At the moment, I am testing this new release and found several issues.

Mypal 68.14.6b - The loading and scrolling websites issue in multi-process mode

Unfortunately, I have to report that loading websites and scrolling them from top to bottom is seriously broken in my fresh installation with a fresh profile (untouched) when running Mypal 68.14.6b in multi-process mode. If scrolling to the top of this MSFN page, for example, leads to a blue window without content. Here is a screenshot:

Mypal-68-14-6-Scrolling-pages-is-broken.

I didn't notice any corresponding errors in the browser console. I have installed the browser versions 68.14.4b, 68.14.5b and, since today, the browser version, 68.14.6b under Windows XP. The website loading and scrolling issue does not occur in version 68.14.4b or in version 68.14.5b. That means the issue started as of your new release 68.14.6b. And the general.smoothScroll preference is of course set to true which is the default value. So, this issue seems to be a more general one in multi-process mode and does not only happen if the general.smoothScroll preference is set to false.

P.S.: After some more tests, I noticed that the website loading and scrolling issue doesn't seem to occur in your new release 68.14.6b when running the browser in single-process mode. In this mode, the loading and scrolling of this MSFN website here is very fast and error-free. It therefore appears to be primarily a multi-process mode issue. Maybe, this information is useful for you. At least I do hope so. :P

Mypal 68.14.6b - GIF image animation broken in single-process mode

@feodor2 Purely by chance, I have discovered that the animation of GIF images in Mypal 68.14.6b does not work when the browser is operated in single-process mode. Of course, the preference image.animation_mode is set to the value normal. When switching to multi-process mode, however, the animation of GIF files works again. So this seems to be an issue that only affects the single-process mode. Look at my Matrix GIF image below! I should still mention that this issue didn't occur in your previous releases.
