Stalemate becomes checkmate.

The cure is to take up a new game.

:)

Thank you my friend you made me smile.

My time for games is over.
And considering your nick name you are also part of the same "club" as me.

Some characters in this forum are full of (in my opinion erroneous) preconceptions that they repeat incessantly in every one of their posts.
But their biggest mistake is not the preconception,it is the constant reiteration of it.
By doing so,their personal opinion, right or wrong, ends up becoming unbearable.

Meanwhile,I have lost the will to open (new) threads and now I am losing the will to even read other people's threads.

What is the cure for this?

Change the manner of your speak, start to be polite and friendly, quit "teaching" people, quit with your usual hostility.

Don't argue with members, especially when they already got you the right sources pointing to the facts.

On the positive side, you already started to change towards good by admitting your opinion is erroneous.

Before you make a topic, perform a research, see if it's really worth to post on MSFN, MSFN content ought to be interesting, no copy-paste, no generic crap.

Also, make sure the info you post is up to these years, in other words - it must be fresh.

Still have doubts? Ask @D.Draker what to post or not to post.

Good! You're finally  catching up, and I forgive you for your past actions!

But @Tripredacus already told, don't divide members into "clubs", factions, teams.

Yeah, but if neither works for @Sampei.Nihira, try another forum, maybe? A forum with more generic content.

well what we should not do is just to let them do their thing

every kind of resistence is a resistence

everything that is good against 10 is good, everything that is bad to 10 is good

everykind of remembers how it used to be, what has badly changed might be something we can say

we can code other programms

linux is not a enemy

we can stay on a OS before 10 , it dont matter what one just that it is not 10 or 11

we can talk against 10

we can try to bring missing parts to the other operating systems

we can try to ask lawers what we can do against this monopoly

we can try not to buy win10 products (such as only support that os) - what is our right

neither what someones resistence look like, try to be creativ

just not giving up ...

Given Supermium and OnlyOffice exist, I'm still pretty content with having to occasionally use Windows XP for a few tasks. Windows 7 is just as alive as it was in 2009. ;)

There really is no point to buying high-end hardware unless you really want to do:

  • The latest video games
  • Specialized studio equipment
  • Peripheral items that require Windows 10 or later
  • Artificial intelligence

Until I see anything revolutionary, I'm happy sticking with my Windows ME, XP, and 7 boxes for file transfers, bookkeeping, archiving data, backup, and so forth.

Online banking does not require buying high-end hardware.  But it does unfortunately seem to require newer than Win7 these days.  :}

Win 8 and 8.1 were dropped at the same time with 7, so I'd say at least Win 10 2016 version as the minimum.

I could get to my bank with XP browsers, but smartphone 2FA is required.

Edit: Actually, Android tablet is also fine.

I do not have a smartphone nor an Android tablet.  :}

The World has become difficult without smartphones.............:thumbdown:wacko:

With my 2 online insurance I have to use smartphone verification.

With my 2 banks I am obliged to smartphone verification.

With my certified mail I am obliged to use the smartphone.

If I want to dialogue with government agencies of the public administration of my country I am obliged to verification with the smartphone.

I'm curious which mobile browser do you prefer?

I would like to use Vivaldi.
But unfortunately I find it more convenient to browse with Opera.

I use cash and go to physical stores. And they always ask:"please give us your phone to register", which I refuse.
