He wrote that it was deleted.

I saw in his post history that he requested support for OLED pixel shift on the taskbar. That is in his post history and not deleted. I would guess that request was ignored because it is very much outside of the scope of what SAB is trying to do and he must have asked again. I can't confirm that because the post was deleted but I'm not surprised if it was if he kept asking and then got aggressive. There's no place to be rude to the developer, especially when asking for a highly niche feature that most users won't take advantage of.

Calm down man, no need to go aggressive on Tihiy.

I meant the programmer of 7++ Task Bar Tweaker, of course!

(I wrote to him twice)

My reply wasn't pointed to you, don't worry.

Another user was aggressive in a post that was removed. You're good! Also the 7+ TT dev I believe develops Windhawk now.

Hi there, hope, I`m right here. One reason for me, to use SAB is the usage of 7+ Taskbar Tweaker (https://tweaker.ramensoftware.com/). Since version 3.8 of SAB 7+TT is broken. Will there be an fix for this? Regards! P3P4

No it is no longer supported. The taskbar has been rewritten for 24H2 due to Microsoft's removal and neither SAB nor Explorer Patcher support this any longer.

@Tihiy and as a follow up to my previous question about Taskbar toolbars; this is somewhat related.

If you look at the image or your standard address bar on the new Taskbar with dark mode enabled, the text for the last used path is also dark\black which makes it almost unreadable. Here it would be better white\light:

When the address bar is expanded it has the same color issue as my previous comment - i.e. light\white background even when dark mode is enabled.

Maybe these color schemes are a function of the OS and something you cannot change, but if a part of your proprietary code and is possible to match the mode set it would be an aesthetic UI improvement.

StartAllBack 3.8.4

Quote

- Fix rare crash with some apps

- Fix taskbar not visible after Win+D in fullscreen app

I found this issue is still present with 3.8.4. Though it's a small problem, I found it can cause slight usability inconsistency if using this hotkey a lot. (i.e.: get used to different behavior on a PC running with SAB or on a PC without SAB).

Pressing "Win + NUM" key always cycles from the 1st window in that group with 3.7.11 or without SAB, but with 3.8.4, when I'm already focusing on one of the windows in that group, pressing it causes it to cycle starting from the current window. E.g.: When I'm focusing on the 2nd window in the 1st position, pressing "Win + 1" begins from the 2nd window, but with 3.7.11 or without SAB, it begins from the 1st one.

Is there any way yet to make the re-done task bar even thinner? Obviously the 7+ Taskbar Tweaker width limit setting doesn't affect it any more since it's rebuilt from the ground up.

One thing that seems to happen quite often (3.8.1+ at least, probably all 3.8+ so far), but seems almost random when it does is the taskbar icons sort of getting stuck. Like they won't highlight on mouse over, or they will stay highlighted even if an app is not open. The only way to fix this I've found is to click the app that is stuck to open it which fixes it for a while until it gets stuck again.

An unopened (pinned) app staying highlighted after moving mouse away from it seems kind of related. It happens most often to the second and the last app on the taskbar.

Edit: found a way to reproduce

It seems to happen when an app appears above/below the one that gets stuck.

1. use Combine taskbar buttons "Never, hide labels"

2. have a vertical enhanced classic taskbar that is either on the left or the right side

3. on your taskbar have your browser as the topmost/first app, and windows explorer as the second (both pinned)

4. open a couple of browser tabs, detach one of them so you have two instances of the browser open in the taskbar

5. the second app (explorer this case) wont highlight anymore when you hover over it.

This also happens to my bottom/last app on the taskbar quite often, so I believe it is something with other apps appearing near the ones that get stuck. And more rarely to ones in the middle of the taskbar.

Edit2: It appears that when the first bug happens as reproduced above, the unopened/unselected app being stuck highlighted on the last item of the taskbar (if you hover over it) will also happen so these are for sure related/the same bug.
