StartAllBack for Windows 11

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

StartAllBack 3.8 is a major update with fully recreated taskbar. It will be necessary for August 24H2/23H2 update.

It's like 70% new app. It's free update and it's buggy and it's your fault for not testing!

Enhanced classic taskbar not working on latest Windows 11 24H2 IoT LTSC 26100.1301 build with StartAllBack 3.7.11.

Fixed with StartAllBack v3.8 :thumbup

Hey @Tihiy I found a bug. Use the menu in startallbackcfg.exe to move the taskbar. The task icons will disappear for about 10 seconds. Edit: here is a screen recording https://www.dropbox.com/t/a0CDM8u6TRQarvBr

Edit 1: Found another bug. Unlocking the taskbar and dragging it to a new location will cause it to freeze for 10 seconds or so.

Edit 2: Both are a compatibility issue with Networx.

@rseiler progress bars work for me with that config.

@mackid1993 We may be expecting different things, since the strip does show progress as indicated before. This is about 70% complete:

If that's what you're talking about, then that's something new, and I wasn't expecting it.

I was talking about the much fuller effect that we've seen over the last decade or so in which the entirety of the icon is eventually taken over.

The new progress bars look like this now.

Hi, i got no thumbnails here with Netflix app from store which is a Edge app and also i get a flash to black screen if i have Netflix app opened and i hover on Firefox or any other app on taskbar with an event viewer error. The problems are because of Edge and taskbar. If i create an app for Netflix in Vivaldi browser everything is fine. The only reason i use Netflix app from Edge is for HDR, the other browsers don't support HDR.

Well I can't reproduce that but opening and closing windows produces screen artifacts on 24H2 and latest Nvidia drivers :puke:

That functionality has been removed by Microsoft. Copilot is a PWA with no system integration anymore not a flyout.

Not sure I've got you there, but you mean the way it was made to work before was changed/removed and now no longer part of the OS but rather act like a separate app?

Also for @Tihiy, since the last ver I've got a new issue,
Sometimes when I reset the PC or switch between monitors, my taskbar search bar look like this and act buggy till I reset Startisback or reset the PC.

I've also set windows 11 default bar to be on the side (left or right depend on the lang) rather than in the center,
However when the issue happens and you press on the search bar, its window box appear in the center rather than in the right side.
