Yes I know tnat, also for all people reading that should this thread have discord? Its quite big project and its hard to have everything there on msfn, also the live support will be great. 2
Brickedandroid Posted March 4, 2023 Posted March 4, 2023 Where's the link to download the 2023 ExKernel build?

Vistapocalypse Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Is it true that a 2018 version of Kaspersky is the only antivirus known to work with this extended kernel? If not, please post details here or reply to: https://msfn.org/board/topic/184427-best-windows-vista-antivirus-with-the-extended-kernel/ 1
NullEntity Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Appreciate all the hard work win32, It's a life-saving project ngl

Actually, any version of Dr.Web Security Space that is compatible with Windows Vista and newer. But you'd need to get an update for SHA-256 support, which is kindly provided in the instructions on the website. https://support.drweb.com/sha2 1
WinExPerience Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 @win32 !!! 😭 The latest OneDrive does not work on Windows Vista Extended Kernel as well as Windows 7! It says SetThreadInformation could not be located in kernel32dll! Help!
WinExPerience Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Guys, see Office 2019 on Windows Vista, I got from Reddit. 2
WinExPerience Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 (edited) I installed Office 2019 by spoofing Windows 7, as it said on Windows Vista that it requires Windows 7 or newer. But on Windows 7, it says Windows 10 or newer. Edited March 5, 2023 by WinExPerience

And there, they proudly state: Quote Dr.Web continues to consistently support outdated Windows versions which is something they definitely deserve a praise for! If only other "security" vendors had followed their example... 1

Also, their Security Space keys do work on Symbian 9.x versions. And you still can get recent VDBs. On a long-dead mobile OS you still get updates! If you ever going to add some protection to your Windows 98 SE machine, go for Dr.Web 5.0. For Windows 2000 SP4 — Dr.Web Security Space 7. Both still get their VDB updates, but you have to be careful about 98SE: there can be serious performance impacts. 1
