Hey Sampei, in another thread regarding Meltdown and Spectre you recommended combining this with MalwareBytes Anti-Exploit to protect against any possible attacks. What's the latest version of MBAE that works with XP and XP64? I tried grabbing a copy of MBAE after installing OSArmor and (despite temporarily disabling OSArmor to prevent interference when installing) the program doesn't want to work; I get errors telling me MBAE "is taking too long to load" when I boot to Windows.

This is the page I was greeted with after updating to 52.9.0 with Firefox's update mechanism, notice it's a subarticle called "Important":

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/end-support-windows-xp-and-vista?as=u&utm_source=inproduct

Notice that the article mentions no further updates after August 2018. Since it is likely there will be other security vulnerabilities discovered in the next two months, I expect to possibly see at least Firefox 52.9.1 and maybe a 52.9.2 release.

Honest question, if everyone compared these two. I need this for my techless relatives, so seamless update is a muss. All more need is a firefox-alike performance, uBlock origin plus some add-on to download videos. I guess the same html5 video trick will work as in regular Firefox 52 ESR?

After August you need to move to New Moon or Basilisk.

Start by setting up your Browser for privacy and security:

I've already been using New Moon on my Windows 2000 and XP machines. As I demonstrated recently, Windows 2000 will run it as long as you have Service Pack 4, the Security Rollup Package (SRP), and UURollup/Kernel Ex:

@sdfox7 I've never tried new moon but I think I'll give it a shot. By the way, I've been in Wembley a few days ago to watch Taylor Swift performing live. During the show the staff brought a piano and she started playing the first notes of a song I didn't recognise. A friend of mine said "Is she playing Angel?" and I was like "No, no, it just reminds you that song..." and after a few seconds Robbie Williams made his appearance out of the blue and I was like "whaaat?" Haha.

(You used "Delicate" to test new moon, so I assumed you are a Swiftie, my bad if you are not).

I do consider myself a "Swiftie", and my company helped to promote her "Redemption" album.

CyberFox 52.9.1 has already been pushed out, so I'm expecting Firefox 52.9.1 shortly

... This isn't so... Cyberfox 52.9.0 (officially supporting Win7+, but can be hacked to run on Vista SP2, too...) had just been released mere days ago, the buildID of the x86 binary was 20180626222034; but they made a big blunder there : Cyberfox is distributed together with a full set of language packs (91 to be exact), but they had forgotten to change the maxVersion string in their install.rdf files (from 52.8.0 - there never was a 52.8.1 release, unlike FxESR - to 52.9.0), so their browser was only available in en-US locale...

The Australian developer was forced to rush release a new "fixed" version with working (embedded) language packs, hence the version bump:

https://github.com/InternalError503/cyberfox/commit/7fd07cc

BuildID of new x86 binary is 20180629141022; security wise, Cyberfox 52.9.1 is on par with FirefoxESR 52.9.0. If/when there'll be a FirefoxESR 52.9.1 chemspill release, Toady will follow soon after, but, of course, never release in advance of Mozilla...
