Tihiy Posted June 2, 2015 Author Posted June 2, 2015 xXiNightXx, unless you're using full msstyles, SIB won't load StartMenu::MenuBand.
Superfish1000 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I hope this is the right place, but after installing Start is Back my taskbar has been flickering every minute or so. It looks like multicolored glitch across the entire taskbar and only lasts about a 10th of a second. It seems to be very random and I don't know what is triggering it. I would try to see if I could get a screenshot but it doesn't last long enough and isn't consistent enough. It's not a huge problem but it's unnerving. Thanks in advance.
Hunk4TH Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Will there be a new version compatible with Windows 10?
ptd163 Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 I don't see a reason why there won't be. Tihiy is probably just waiting for commerical release to know exactly what he has to work with.
joema Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Cosmetic issue: shutdown button always has yellow shield "updates needed", even when no Windows updates exist. Update log shows no failed updates, and new updates install OK, but the shutdown button always has the yellow shield. SIB+ 1.7.5 (registered), Windows 8.1 Pro x64, UAC disabled.

Have you tried uninstalling SiB and reinstalling it?
joema Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Yes, it made no difference. However when I re-installed I did not have to re-activate it, so some state information persisted. Is there some manual removal which is more thorough than using Control Panel add/remove programs?

I think I recall Tihiy giving some people instructions for where to remove SiB's configuration information from.
stelian88 Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 (edited) StartScreenIsBack and CharmsbarIsBack??? I saw on Twiter, Tihiy Edited June 18, 2015 by stelian88
joema Posted June 18, 2015 Posted June 18, 2015 It finally went away for no apparent reason. I didn't do anything different or change the configuration after re-installing SiB as already described.
CompUser Posted June 19, 2015 Posted June 19, 2015 I've seen this question asked a few times already (once by me), but haven't seen it answered by anyone who actually knows. Is there going to be a StartIsBack for Windows 10? Tihiy, I know you're busy with your real job and all, so I was just wondering, and hoping. Thanks. 1
lamb Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 This was posted back in april by author: yes, StartIsBack+ no longer works on new Windows 10 builds. Fixing that gonna take a while, but I hope I will get decent result and direction for StartIsBack on Win10.
xbigkxz Posted June 28, 2015 Posted June 28, 2015 So I re-install Windows on a monthly base, but the activation key email says:This key is able to activate 1 PCs. Available PC activations: 0 Used PC activations: 3.But all the activated PC's have been "destroyed" since there is a new windows installation on there..
Tihiy Posted June 28, 2015 Author Posted June 28, 2015 Please write to support e-mail if you have activation troubles.
