  4. Doesn't, copying over 250 mb, take longer than copying over 32 mb and unrar it? And why would you waste 200+ mb on your DVD? I hope you are using a dvd-rewritable P.S.: Not everybody has a DVD-burner

  8. Thanks SiMoNsAyS for this great guide I managed to make a silent install package that installs Nero, Nero WaveEditor, extracts audioplugins to the right folder, silently registers and removes some shortcuts, folders and files. ALL in one package.
  9. Thank you, SiMoNsAyS
  10. Does that mean that Nero actually doesn't need to be installed using setup.exe? So I can just take the Nero folder and put it in Program Files and Nero will work? And if I want to keep the audio-plugins; is it the same procedure? And everything I don't want, has to be replaced by dummy-files?
  11. This is what I do: 1.Slipstream SP2 into XP -> using nLite 2.Extract RyanVM’s Pack to i386 3.Use nLite -> DON’T make an iso yet!! 4.Make RyanVM’s adjustments to dosnet.inf and txtsetup.sif 5.Do Gosh's Unattended Secret Reducing Size of Source: -> copy svcpack-folder back to i386 6.Remove obsolete stuff -> fonts and keyboard-layouts 7.Use Unattended Guide 8.Add modified files 9. Make iso using nLite This works for me.
  12. Maybe it is your antivirus that is not compatible with XP(SP2)?
  13. Try to convert them to mp3
  14. Thanks guys for responding. Just wanted to let you know that I found the individual download links for all programs in the Pack.
  15. You can right-click a mpg file and choose download using flashget. After that I believe flashget remembers the mpg extension.
  16. Is it possible to download the COMPLETE pack without installing? I want to install it myself using Wincon (=a program that records an program installation and can undo it completely). I also want to back it up in case of a format. Are there any switches? This is the link to the pack: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/partnerpa...spx?prereq=true
  17. Try this link to resolve the problem: http://www.appdeploy.com/faq/detail.asp?id=77 I hope it helps
  18. Use nLite to shrink your cd
  19. It's not really that important but: should be: 1 minuut=60 sec. not 150
  20. Look at these registry entries: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders] [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders]
  21. Try shutdown /? to find the correct switches or go to the sysinternals website: http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/psshutdown.shtml for the correct command switches
  22. Thanks for clearing up things, I was just wondering. Of course I'm using an AV (avast! home edition) and a good firewall (zonealarm free 5)
  23. Hi, I was wondering if there are any benefits by disabling the Sun Java Cache? Would it speed up javascripts or slow them down? Would it make surfing the net safer?; as I understood that java is just like activeX a "dangerous" technology.
  24. Have you tried burning at a lower speed or a different cd-r?
