  1. How can I get rid of the WMP9 intro wizard? This is what worked for me under SP1, but doesn't under SP2 anymore: "AcceptedPrivacyStatement"=dword:00000001
  2. As far as I know there are no updates for SP2 out (yet). No critical at least.
  3. rd /s /q "%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Java Web Start\"
  4. @Spilo Java Web Start isn't a folder, it's a link. Use this (it works for me): You have to adjust the English names to the German ones.
  5. I always use these arguments: /f /q e.g.: DEL /f /q "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Start Menu\Programs\Yahoo! Messenger.lnk"
  6. DON'T download a theme, logonui or whatsoever from themexp.org!!! Files from themexp.org contain ad/spyware!! I recently downloaded a theme and after installing it I had many different spy/-adware stuff on my computer. I just had done a scan with Ad-Aware before installing and it didn't find anything. P.S.: Be careful with removing already installed themexp stuff: after I removed it, my network connections were killed and I couldn't surf the internet anymore!
  7. In the Application Switches forum, there is a whole thread about WMP10 beta.
  8. Antivirus: Avast Home Edition Firewall: ZoneAlarm Free 5 AntiSpyware: AdAware SE Personal and SpywareBlaster
  9. Could you give some more information?
  10. I only have XP, so XP it is. I just integrated SP2 and did a new install. But my previous install with SP1, I had for about 8 months without any problems. It never crashed, never had a BSOD. I never had a virus or whatsoever; I am using some freeware to protect my computer and it works.
  11. You could take a look at the ref.chm file from the SP2 deploytools.
  12. You could remove moviemaker using nLite: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=89
  13. It worked in Virtual PC, so it probably also works in a real install. But I am not planning to do a real install any time soon. Just did one a week ago.
  14. This sets the makecab to the highest possible compression. Can I use it to replace the existing command: MAKECAB %1 /V3 ? Credit goes to jcarle It worked!
  15. Why don't you put all the wallpapers from my pictures to the wallpaper folder? Then you should see them.
  16. I disabled and removed it completely.
  17. Maybe windows doesn't have enough time to remove the install folder. Try with increasing the shutdown time to 2 minutes. P.S. Does the command: net user aspnet /delete work for you? I am having trouble with that, about were to put it.
  18. WOW, great tool! Can I put this in my rightclick-menu?
  19. Just found this in another thread: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=25374 This sets the makecab to the highest possible compression. Can I use it to replace the existing command: MAKECAB %1 /V3 ? Credit goes to jcarle
  20. Try to edit the wallpaper directory in the registry: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion] "WallPaperDir"=
  21. Is this tweak with the lzx compression or the normal?
  22. How can I turn this message off?
  23. What do the setup log files say?
  24. Is it possible to delete the ASP.NET Machine account that is installed by Framework (dotNET)? I mean during an unattended installation?
