I've got 2 20gig drives, 7200 and 5400 rpm. Diskeeper takes from 1 to 5 minutes to defragment them.

It was a beta release so some peole really had bad experiences with SP1, some didn't. If all your attempts had already failed to restore your XP then a format and reinstall seems to be the only recourse.

Not to take anything away from Soccer or Rugby but have you seen the types of injuries in an NFL game? Broken bones, torn knee ligaments, concussions, some even get paralyzed for life. So even with pads, I don't think there is a tougher sport out there (except for this crazy game on ESPN where flying kicks are legal).

What card are you using? I used to get that with my TNT2 before. Either you stick with the XP default drivers or try using the 27.70 drivers, they were quite stable for me.

With me sometimes the buttons and smilies of forums come up as red x marks. When you hit refresh the buttons show up. Earlier using the default windows video drivers (for Gforce 4 Ti) it caused my PC to reboot. Works fine now that I switched to Leadtek drivers.

I used to have that Video Card. I was using the default 21.81 drivers from Asus.

Took a look at it but it doesn't seem to be as fast as the current vBulettin. What's the reason for the change?

I don't know what the others think but for me that is perfectly normal behavior for Windows 98. At least in my experience.
