It looks like Lenovo only cert this tablet for 32bit Windows 8.1. The Windows 8.1 driver would be the best bet, but it also seems this tablet might be a Compal underneath. Drivers are all available, even "Jazz Fighter" whatever that is. http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Tablets/Miix-Series/Miix-10-Tablet-IdeaPad?tabName=Downloads&linkTrack=Mast:SubNav:Support:Drivers and Software|Drivers and Software&beta=false

Well you don't say what the tablet is.

I remember a time when birds used to live inside of empty DVD-ROM drives...

Anytime I have to do installs on a tablet, I use a powered USB hub so that I can have the keyboard and mouse connected as well as the install media.

I only found this on Symantec's FTP: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/linked_files/nsw/ Look on Ebay, there is a bunch of options there for really cheap.

Specs show storage is eMMC. I believe it is technically possible but the typical answer to changing the "HD" would be NO. https://www.asus.com/2-in-1-PCs/ASUS-Transformer-Book-T101HA/specifications/ Windows 7 installation, it depends if you can find drivers for the mass storage controller. And even then, since it is a tablet, you would need to see if Windows 7 drivers are available for everything else required, perhaps even the touchscreen. You can't really do a test due to the eMMC, unless the tablet you have has a broken OS on it already.

And I think this only is the case for certain Windows 10 installations. For example, if you did a free upgrade, that is not the type of Windows 10 you can bind to your account.

help with some c code?
Tripredacus replied to Damnation's topic in Programming (C++, Delphi, VB/VBS, CMD/batch, etc.)
It looks like you are getting syntax errors on the lines under the Function declaractions comment. The compiler stopped, but you should end up getting errors from line 18-2398, 2581-2994. I am thinking that whatever the output the decompiler gave you, is not ready for compilating in C++ as it says. I cannot identify the output, but I can compare to what a C++ Function Declaration is supposed to look like: http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/functions/ -
Did you also have to disable driver signature enforcement? Editing an Intel INF will break its digital signature.

Program running - process not showing in task manager
Tripredacus replied to Luxman's topic in Windows 7
In process explorer, use the target/crosshair button to drag onto the running program. It will then show you what process it is running under. -
I watched a stream with Edge browser. It worked fine for around 3 hours, then it started stuttering. Then it crashed. But the worst part was, while Edge crashed, it still stayed on the screen. I tried the close button, which worked and put up the question about closing multiple tabs, but then it still stayed on the screen and menu became totally unresponsive. The page that was loaded (sans video) still worked. I was finally able to close it with Task Manager. I guess I'm just used to when a program crashes or you choose to close it, it actually closes.

Integrating monthly rollups not working?
Tripredacus replied to Octopuss's topic in Unattended Windows 7/Server 2008R2
You should do a test install of the update it finds in Windows update, and from the windowsupdate.log you can see if it is actually installing the full update. I still have some images where SP1 shows up in the update list, but when installed from Windows update, it only downloads a 2-8MB file. The reason for this is that the update is changed on the Windows Update side vs what you have put into the OS, so it will download the part that is different. -
Isn't there a bell curve for what is "safe" regarding security of Windows OS? Such as now, Windows 95 must be safer than Windows 7 because no one writes viruses for it.

TOR is a US government system, so it has always been "not safe" for those who wish to hide from the government. Over the years, many times people have said TOR is compromised and not to use it. The most recent that I can tell is when the FBI took the Freedomhost domains and used malware to track site visitors.

No real interface that I am aware of. At least, not in the physical sense like we see in movies. Hololens can do things like that, but the visual is only inside the headset, although that video can be output... since that is how they demonstrated it live. It is still not something that exists in the real world space, that anyone can see.

Its hard to find this, seems to be that 06913 is en-US and 06914 is en-GB, or en-US for Europe.

About donation to producer

satosi has indicated that this issue is specifically referring to donating to Aeroglass and not to MSFN. Moving topic. -

The memory address looks to be "out of bounds" so there is no way to have less physical memory in the system? -
In most cases, I see this message due to a delay in explorer. Such as if I were to create a folder called "New Folder" then rename it and save a file into it, Explorer will sometimes give me an error of "can't find new folder" even though the folder has been renamed and I chose that name to save into. So there is this to remember, whatever it is causes this situation, can have some possible relation to other issues. First need to know where this folder is that is having the problem. There are these types of locations: - Root of C - In protected location (Program Files, Windows, System32, etc) - In a profile (any public folder in C:\Users\account such as Desktop, Documents, etc) - On removable media - Network location - Other physical non-removable disk. For testing, we would want to have this on a hard drive, not in a profile, root or protected location to start. And then see if Explorer can rename it or not. It would be good to know if Explorer has this problem with folders in certain places and not others. If Explorer cannot rename the folder (for each location tested) you also want to try to do a rename with the command prompt.

Try using another browser or computer if you can. I know on some sites I have some problem getting redirected to proper sites (for example when I go to steam, it is in Polish) but it is just one browser for me and others do not have the problem.

I think there needs to be some re-wording, of the "privacy" industry as a whole. Microsoft is not protecting your privacy because it is viewing and saving everything. What they are talking about is to protect against OTHER people or firms from seeing your history. In a real world situation, it would be relatable to an agreement with a security company... say you have your home set up with cameras in every room (including the bathroom and under your covers), the security monitoring company would say it would not share your data with other people. But truly, there is no privacy in that situation.

Re not making the dmp files, what does your virtual memory settings look like? I have a Embedded system that when it BSOD it says it is writing the dmp file, but doesn't because the pagefile is disabled/vm set to 0.
