jamieo if you was a woman I'd kiss ya That was it M8 Image/Name Image/Index both worked perfectly, it didn't stop at all for DVD Problem solved and I didn't test the weekend cause just read your post and 10 minutes later I see that it works Before we started adding all that Installto and Installfrom and a hundred other things it went straight on with the key defining what image will be installed. -
a sample autounattend.xml - working good
maxXPsoft replied to prathapml's topic in Unattended Windows Vista/Server 2008
WSIM applys single numbers here each time I used it to add a driver 1,2,3 Makes no difference though unless you need a special order absolute does work without a hitch cause I been doing that since RC1 First thing we got going cause drivers are important to get the sound and video right <Path>F:\sources\pnpDrivers\1</Path> But of course you must test and figure out which drive letter the DVD will be, kinda a no brains thing Might add i do that in the beginning and it holds all the way through to having the drivers installed when it boots the desktop. My resolution is what I want all the way through my UA setups doing it that way. Lot out there to learn on this Vista isn't it EDIT: FireGeier im workin on that myself from DVD -

Disable minimum system requirements?

Disable minimum system requirements?
maxXPsoft replied to Clint's topic in Unattended Windows Vista/Server 2008
<ComplianceCheck> Never - Specifies that user interface is never displayed, even for serious errors. An error is logged, and installation terminates. So that is definitely not the answer now is it Clint, things will come around, everyone is learning right now and i'm sure MS will be throwing us some curve's with official releases. I looked at vlite although i don't use and never seen the Disable minimum system requirements like was present in nlite which was done auto. Maybe he don't add if your sys is over them or i totally missed it. So either I don't see it or he doesn't know yet or hasn't added it yet -
$oem$\$$\Setup\Scripts\setupcomplete.cmd
maxXPsoft replied to mattffrost's topic in Unattended Windows Vista/Server 2008
tsk tsk fail totally to see why you'd even use this, run your app's, run cleanup.cmd, and anything else never touching this iffy junk MS threw in done said it several times in these posts Firstlogon.cmd, as an Admin with all right's and at the end run cleanup.cmd -

maxXPsoft replied to raffa's topic in Unattended Windows Vista/Server 2008
nope but i want to know this also cause raffa stuff is what i put in it with my App tried that as experimentI been trying to get this sorted out myself cause even if Its only 1 image like i tried, stops every time and asks even with only 1 image present. All 7 images it stops and asks. Added all that <Key> and stuff trying to make it fly So no real answer to this yet -
Not necessarilyWorks off root of floppy/usb stick. Can change it that way if error occurs Works in Sources for me with the $oem$ present and the <UseConfigurationSet>true</UseConfigurationSet> Don't know if it's because I also use some <OEMInformation> stuff

No Sgt_Strider only the ones intended for the search engine. look em over thanks Delprat Exactly, I mainly use Firefox and only a crazy would say only use that. You need versatility and the things that only IE can give then duhhhh, you need IE. Like my retirement money, that website don't work with FF. and the mht's gotta love that for sure, what else does it

I run my own VistaUA program and have no problem doing anything all the way through cleanup and reboot. During that it allows all those things but if you exit it for anything uac takes back over. I mean I have a pause in my program if one wanted to pause and grab a screenshot thats ok, but don't quit the App Installer and try to restart it.

WIAK Changes not applied to image..!?
maxXPsoft replied to Clint's topic in Unattended Windows Vista/Server 2008
Name is required if you are going to re-deploy a custom Install.wim with Windows Setup. The straight quotation marks are required. This flag is not required if you deploy the image by using ImageX. -
Super Administrator or Whats in a name
maxXPsoft replied to Ghostie's topic in Unattended Windows Vista/Server 2008
Simplest way in XP is NET USER "Administrator" /FULLNAME:Admin and that is much faster and more reliable than a reg file. Haven't tried that in Vista but should work Not sure where exactly you should fire that off, perhaps during Firstlogon as the very first line maybe or as Fizban2 said during a synch/asynch but don't know exactly when they are done.
