  7. Yes Buisness does not include MediaCenter, it also don't include InboxGames and a myriad of other things. His xml shows to be Ultimate so it should be ok unless he removed it with vlite which we don't know what it does to the image except who used it. The thing to remember is DO NOT ADD xml settings that are default or not included with image you messing with.
  8. After you mentioned the reg key I remembered I had crossed that road before so went lookin in the waik.chm and found it. Its logging now even for my Hotfixes so I can look at what MS does there also.
  9. Thats just a blank password, with AIK you can encrypt your own. Just set the other settings and type your plain text password in and save and close. Re-open and its encrypted and now I just keep it handy.
  10. FireGeier First I was doing it from XP and the reg key don't exist. I didn't have WAIK on because I'm only using the Servicing folder. I'll boot into Vista and get the whole keys and maybe point it at my Servicing folder and give it a try. EDIT: Nope that key don't exist in Vista for me after I installed AIK
  11. Why Combine them ? geez man if your PC will support the Vista then go for it alone. Don't know if you can get around upgrade because I have not seen an upgrade disk.
  12. <Password> <PlainText>false</PlainText> <Value>UABhAHMAcwB3AG8AcgBkAA==</Value> </Password> <Group>Administrators</Group> <DisplayName>MaxXP</DisplayName> <Name>MaxXP</Name> </LocalAccount> UABhAHMAcwB3AG8AcgBkAA== is a blank password, yoiu'll have to hit enter, is that good enough ootherwise use AutoAdminlogon
  13. Its fact you can Acronis or ghost your drive and be restored in a matter of minutes with all the Tweaks and applications running. XP with a blank drive for my Vista install takes all of 2-3 minutes. Could do that way before Vista. Unattending is the challenge of creating and learning something instead of taking the default install. One day we may not have that option. Hundreds of coasters later till I started using RW I still don't have the perfect DVD because I decide I want another application and maybe don't want something else or discover something else someone posted and its off to try it out. Help advance the knowledge and power. Yes more and more want the easy way and they'll grow more stupid each day if they aren't learning something. Anything, and it don't have to be this if its not your cup of tea.
  14. Handy for the Beginners as well for Advanced FireGeier I only had 1 problem with injecting driver's and that was any place I try to add /l: Remove logging and it injects them 123, real nice. This is error I get and maybe you can add to that part if you get logging error then remove and check the Windows\Inf instead.
  15. It gets a little trickier with Vista but this can be one of your paths say like for Quicklaunch %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
  16. No MC I haven't seen or heard. <UserAccounts> for your user if it suceedd then it tells you was definitely in that section. Could add like half back and try it. The display is only thing I seen may can crash it though.
  17. you didn't explain what you were doing to enabled the default Administrator
  18. I had an Ultimate on and it validated ok <ShowMediaCenter>false</ShowMediaCenter> heck Ive been addin that from the very first time and no problems. Maybe only if you removing it with that Vlite stuff TR-TR is Turkey. Do you have an actual Turkish image Might remove some of your <Display> settings leaving only the Horizontal and vertical and go from there but if theres no display drivers then it won't come out right unless you adding them
  19. Sgt_Strider I haven't been around tweaks since messin with vista a lot but I said look em over any line that has Google in it you need the rest are other stuff I use TheTOM_SK those are reg tweaks for 1-4 but dumping the history can really only be accomplished by a cmd file thats run at each logon as I've discovered thats the only time when it permits doing those things. Anyone else have any suggestion then go for it. I was waiting on Boardbabe to reply to a sticky before I posted that again
  20. Remove Shared Documents Folder delete this whole key, you'll never miss it HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\ NameSpace\DelegateFolders\{59031a47-3f72-44a7-89c5-5595fe6b30ee} Thats all one line but it stretched the page
  21. OT K-Town, well I'll be darned. Been awhile since i was there though and to see name again brings back memories.
  22. shouldn't matter and drivers are a little harder. Takes some work on your part to figure out whats going wrong. Might open the infs and take a look.
  23. Actually Yzöwl I did mention but for some this would have been bad news as you know Oh, and can I make changes to the default user by editing the NTUSER.DAT file in C:/Documents and Settings/Default User? Yes, but actually that is best done early on before you create any extra users. Then each setting you set will apply to all new users created. You could delete his account completely and then do that and re create his EDIT: I want you to know that before you get too reg happy, make sure you have a way back. In other words know how to reinstall your OS or have an Acronis image you can restore or something.
  24. I manually done that myself a month ago when I was looking for alternative to configsetroot. Found it on Technet With my program when I inject them with the driversroot it only allows once right now. If you want to start over them its back to copy source again which don't take long. I did find and I warn people do not inject something Vista has a later version cause it will crash. My first BSOD in Vista I used Driver Genius Pro and saved them all. You basically must install Vista once without any drivers so you know what it will be missing if you doing this for 1 PC of your own. It can be done also if you going to make 2 or 100 of same model. Yes, all the tools was designed for Buisness or Dell/HP and not the single installer out here. Perhaps what we need is comprehensive list of all driver versions from a Vista image but right now I don't have time to do that. Gives me an idea though. Right on MC, my sentiments exactly.
