  1. LOL, yeah he did, but the joy of it seems to have led you to double-post, maybe?
  2. Quick Launch - yeah, has been whipped to death with all the repeated threads about it. Searching this thread might be most useful - quick launch. Remember to read properly and implement the steps given in instructions, otherwise people have found it a bit hard to enable it.
  3. Yes, that's perfect. (If you're sure that's where you have the installer stored).
  4. point taken. Agreed! Indeed. Only this once.
  5. Now why did I *HAVE* to see this just after dinner?
  6. *bangs head against wall*
  7. Ah! Wouldn't be long now before "vaastu-compliant" (Indian equivalent of Feng Shui - planning out home layouts so as to enable the best positive energy flow) MoBos are seen.
  8. Exactly what I was thinking......
  9. A real weirdo, that ad is....
  10. ROFL

    Funny Pic

I haven't yet understood what you good people are "LOL"ing at. Would anyone be so kind as to explain what was funny here?
  13. ha ha ha ha....... nice one - really, the line about IE not needing anymore fixes.
  14. LOL, we are now at this stage from ropera's list above: xper's pointers to how this had already been posted twice before - isn't it hilarious that each of these recyclings of this old joke happened 6 months after each other?
  15. Well, that screen is what oobeinfo.ini is related to.
  16. No, there's no other entry associated with it. Simply delete that directory.
  17. A "welcome" from me as well.
  18. @cxxxkies- What you describe, isn't related to this topic at all.... Please open a new thread, and post your question in it.
  19. The flash player (non-corporate) is the one to use to update Mozilla products. It installs just fine with the "/s" switch during T-12 (cmdlines stage). What you are actually missing though, is the registry entries for firefox. Customize the below registry chunk to your environment/requirements: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ;regkeys for FireFox 0.9.1 to make sure most plugins, like flash etc., install correctly ;Make sure these are added before installing the plugins [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla Firefox 0.9.1] "GeckoVer"="1.0.1" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla Firefox 0.9.1\bin] "PathToExe"="C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla\\Firefox\\firefox.exe" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla Firefox 0.9.1\Extensions] "Components"="C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla\\Firefox\\Components" "Plugins"="C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla\\Firefox\\Plugins" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla] "CurrentVersion"="1.7" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla Firefox] "CurrentVersion"="0.9.1 (en)" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla Firefox\0.9.1 (en)\Main] "Create Desktop Shortcut"=dword:00000000 "Create Start Menu Shortcut"=dword:00000000 "Create Quick Launch Shortcut"=dword:00000000 "Program Folder Path"="C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Start Menu\\Programs\\Mozilla\\Firefox\\" "Install Directory"="C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla\\Firefox\\" "PathToExe"="C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla\\Firefox\\firefox.exe" ;============================== ; offer Firefox as an option on the "Internet" Sticky app on WinXP Start Menu [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\firefox.exe] @="Mozilla Firefox" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\firefox.exe\DefaultIcon] @="C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla\\Firefox\\firefox.exe,0" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\firefox.exe\shell\open\command] @="\"C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla\\Firefox\\firefox.exe\"" ;============================== ; Give details to make Thunderbird the default e-mail client [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla Thunderbird] @="Mozilla Thunderbird" "DLLPath"="C:\\PROGRA~1\\Mozilla\\Thunderbird\\mozMapi32.dll" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla Thunderbird\DefaultIcon] @="C:\\PROGRA~1\\Mozilla\\Thunderbird\\thunderbird.exe,0" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla Thunderbird\shell\open\command] @="C:\\PROGRA~1\\Mozilla\\Thunderbird\\thunderbird.exe -mail" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla Thunderbird\shell\properties] @="Thunderbird &Options" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla Thunderbird\shell\properties\command] @="C:\\PROGRA~1\\Mozilla\\Thunderbird\\thunderbird.exe -options" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla Thunderbird\protocols\mailto] @="URL:MailTo Protocol" "URL Protocol"="" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla Thunderbird\protocols\mailto\DefaultIcon] @="C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla\\Thunderbird\\thunderbird.exe,0" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\Mail\Mozilla Thunderbird\protocols\mailto\shell\open\command] @="C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla Thunderbird\\thunderbird.exe -compose \"%1\"" ;============================== ; general app settings [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla Thunderbird 0.7.1\bin] "PathToExe"="C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla\\Thunderbird\\thunderbird.exe" ;============================== That helps me to have flash player (newest v7.0.19) available through firefox right from first-run.
  20. That thread's precisely the one you need. It has all info about using oobeinfo.ini. For anymore questions, refer to ref.chm in Deploy.cab (on the WXP CD in Support\Tools\ folder).
  21. Yeah, why didn't they just integrate .NET into XP SP2, like they did with Svr2k3? Anyway, .net framework currently isn't integrated. And the CMPNENTS folder contains v1.0. So, the only good option is to look up the official guide here: .NET, and do your uA setups.
  22. Good to hear that this was resolved for you. You're welcome to discuss any more issues you encounter.
  23. Yes, that screenshot seems fine. Just set your batch-file to copy the skin from CD to "%ProgramFiles%\Opera75\Skin" after install of Opera. Set the preferences to load the skin you want. And you are ready with the skin already customised. Right. Which is exactly why we copy out the Opera folder to the SFX, and extract to "%UserProfile%\Application Data\" silently during cmdlines stage. It goes into "%ProgramFiles%\Opera75", by default.More details can be obtained from the opera news-groups (the help on their website describes how to access it). They have very good forums too! If you have very detailed needs on pre-configured versions of opera, go here - customize
  24. Please don't cross-post. You already have an ongoing discussion at - opera 7.54 Post any more opera-related items there. Thank You
  25. I liked the first one the most.
