  1. As far as I have seen there is only one pack. In English there was just English, Chinese has only Chinese. Now, yours might be different.
  2. erthy976, I have tried your preset on x64 sp2 and it worked fine. Your description of the error means that your program files folder might have failed but I see you haven't changed it with this preset. Do you have something to add?
  3. Please don't rename INF files, just leave them INF, Windows will find them. When you rename them you confuse nLite because it expects compressed file.
  4. Oh it's simple, don't use unattended I'll fix (add setup language selection) in the next version, thx for the notification.
  5. Indeed strange and if you are sure that it only doesn't work if something is removed then please send me that xml file on my email (you have it in the vlite-about). Mask your cdkey and password of course. Then I'll check it.

    IE7

heh cool. But if I'm not mistaken you're not using nLite, you're just wondering why your IE7 doesn't install? Or that popup is during installation, you used IE7 addon?
  7. We were talking about the space in the Computer's name, not the user name. And no, I don't believe that vLite can cause that.

    Unattended install

maybe you entered the wrong key Joking aside open the Autounattend.xml file in the DVD root and check inside the productkey line and confirm that it is exactly your key. Btw attach your preset (the last session.ini and _u.ini from the dvd, BUT first edit the _u.ini and replace your key and other sensitive info with some random chars).

    DVD Playback

Try to keep Movie and DVD Maker. When confirmed I'll pursue the issue and isolate the codecs then move them to the WMP Codecs.
  10. Vista install depends will you boot from a DVD or run the setup.exe. One of these keep the proper partition drive names (I think the setup routine), the other makes Vista drive C (by booting the DVD).
  11. IE...ok, I'll try as well. Thx.
  12. Please post a link to at least one of those drivers and tell me is your Vista 32 or 64bit. nointegritychecks goes for the non-whql drivers but you say they are WHQL so nothing should be needed.
  13. Automatic is the best. That setting is there mainly for those who want to disable ACPI by selecting the Standard PC, however this is not recommended with newer PCs.
  14. Do you use some registry cleaning tools, they could cause it. I think that tweaks can't if it's random as you say.

    Vlite question

Be careful if you install MUI pack, I think it needs Help but not sure. Best is the version you bought.
  16. Yup, very annoying and already cost my friend a big deal of data because he mistakenly deleted the wrong partition.

    Unattended install

Did you run setup.exe or booted from the CD ?
  18. Some RAM but it is more of an annoyance if you use third party firewall than it is a big drain on the resources.
  19. Oh, that's a twist. So it is the image not the program...that reminds me, could have been read-only attributes. Next time you encounter it try removing all read-only attributes from that folder and subfolders.
  20. Thx for the info.

    Unattended install

Only if you choose Skip User Creation.
  22. Could be that the full Vista has the same issue?
  23. Could be Performance Counters but that's just a guess, can be anything, if you find it post here please, I'll try it in a few days.

    Question

Not fully yet. It can slim down Ultimate 32bit down to 2.x GB in size (from 7GB), that's like 5-6 times the XP nlited. However if you have RAM for it it goes quite nicely, all the biggest hogs are removed.
  25. rehbar, I don't integrate WMP directly, WMP Slipstreamer does. IE7 when integrated isn't changed one bit, just copied. It's a nusproduct that you didn't need to setup it and then WGA didn't kick in. That doesn't mean you don't need to pass WGA to be able to access updates and what not. And just for the record I'm not saying it's perfectly bullet proof, I'm just saying it's not hurting MS in any way, quite the contrary.
