  1. Well read the error report: You're missing Microsoft Sans Serif Bold font.
  2. Ok I waited for this to be needed, as Vista already has majority of needed textmode drivers. Gonna explore and integrate into one of the next updates.
  3. http://www.msfn.org/board/Vlite_Bluescreen_Death_t90000.html http://www.msfn.org/board/BSOD_vLite_AntiVirus_t92589.html
  4. There is more info on this forum about it, it's because of the Antivirus and WIM filter clashing.
  5. Jeronimo, what are you saying? Why mentioning folders or missing files? He's just having a popup of missing gameux.dll (in system32) because of removed Game Explorer and maybe there is a leftover in the registry calling it...as I said will check later.

    Splitting ISO image

You didn't do anything wrong. Answer is that only the image (install.wim file) is actually split. So if you want to fit it in 700mb it must be lets say 520mb that file + rest of them. But then for the next CD it will go another 520mb and what's left of the image on the third. That's how that functions works. Why isn't the first one full 700? Because of the ISO optimizations, it saves double files only once. So it's up to you to recalculate...now you can up it to 740 and it will fit on 2CDs with first one closer to 700.
  7. maxrealqnx, for the gameux issue keep the Game Explorer. For the volume blame something else.
  8. Oh so that's the driver causing so much popups. I'll try it next time and see what can be done.
  9. Ok thx for the info.

    vLite 1.0 beta - OMG

Sgt_Strider, depends. In Nvidia display driver it does because the driver is well made (just needs inf update method which vlite uses). But some drivers like Soundmax sound driver needs the setup.exe to be ran in order to install the control panel. So it's up to you to try. Good thing is that you can't break anything by trying, it will install the driver and it will work (unless it's E-mu sound card which needs cpanel) but if you miss the panel just run setup after installation, or learn how to make an addon for it. MagicAndre1981, yeah updated the version silently day after release. Alex, no, haven't even tried because I know how bizzare that one is, probably called by some other service and can't be turned off. Keep Remote Desktop if you mind that log message, I don't. HellasVagabond, it is putting the drivers into the repository, they are scanned for validity then as well, like signature or 32/64bit version. If you integrated it that means you'll need it sometimes in the future, that's why it's in the cache. (not actively installed though, don't worry about that) Trinidad, yeah that may happen sometimes (or always with incompatible hardware, not your fault), try to always have empty medium when trying and freshy put into the drive, not erased without ejecting afterwards.
  11. P--L, let me know how it goes with the clean one but with the same preset. inferno128, interesting, but it's best to restart from the clean one anyway.
  12. Use DVD, how's that for an answer If you insist on USB stick then find some guide, it's not vLite related.
  13. Just to be clear it's not vLite error, it was manual doing?
  14. Edition selection: -I would like that too. If someone knows how to force it in the unattended file please let me know. Driver signing: -Not without hacking I presume.
  15. Which games, the built-in ones like Solitaire? I presume Game Explorer of course. Gonna check.
  16. Jeronimo, now you see what I go through before any release while testing reported bugs. There is no simple solution. But I guess you've done more than enough, leave IE until I check it, seems to me it's the reg thing...most horrible task of all.
  17. That's missing Game Explorer. Next time keep it, or someone send you that file. I'll check if it's some registry entry leftover calling it or it's the Steam itself (doubtful). Thx for reporting.
  18. What kind of message? The Security Center?
  19. No, not related to n/vlite because they don't control the file system, just files and registry. What does this mean "Partition Magic to resize partition(Boot CD)"? You copied your Windows installation files directly to some partition, haven't put it in some folder? Also I had my share of disasters by using live partitioning...never again...that Windows built-in partitioning while installing Windows is more than enough and never fails to make a proper partition table.
  20. That error is not normal and not good. Could be that some of the components in the sysoc.inf failed. First do you do all that in the single nlite run (rvm, ie7, components) ? If you don't then try it like that. If it still fails try first without any addon or anything other than nlite, just to pin-point it. Use virtual machines like Vmware or Virtual pc so that you don't waste cds.
  21. Ok then I'll be sure to check it.
  22. Well did you remove any of those: InternetExplorer MediaCenter WindowsMail WindowsMediaPlayer
  23. rado354, k, let me know if it breaks any addon which worked on the previous version. inferno128, platonic I presume Mauri, haven't changed anything regarding that. Tried it once and it was something with Front Page Extensions...beats me. Anyway I ran sfc /scannow and inserted nlited CD and it took what it needed. But yeah it would be nice to have that fixed. minigun, come back one year!
  24. Just a few important fixes to keep you calm, few bugs were starting to get annoying. Changelog and download Have phun hax0r 1337.
