  1. 1 and 2 Yes, in essence that was the plan. If you find that it broke something then let me know. No reports yet on either of those scenarios. I did try WMV after WMP is removed and it worked, but streaming don't know, that one is tricky.
  2. If you pressed Apply and used the same image as the one selected and modified by vLite then it should have worked. I will check that with only drivers page, could be that it skipped some needed steps.
  3. FrizzleFry, aa ok. Radiance, what you're missing is Computer Browser, check it in the Services is it running. Normally it's either started or when you press start it says it's automatically off because it's not needed now. But if you get some error message then it's missing in action. It usually fails if something like Firewall is removed (which you didn't remove as far as I got it). You can still access the other pcs with Explorer directly, type in address bar "\\computername", (without ").
  4. Yeah. Well they mention 29th now but probably also private. This is good, I will have more time to prepare a better GUI, and to fix some n-issues.
  5. FrizzleFry, interesting about the Timezones, gonna check that. wazer, wazoo, my pleasure. No, the street is long, no corner in sight. Some explosion of nlite reports happened, gotta check it all and fix if needed, then RC probably.
  6. Even though you answered your own question I see why it might be confusing because of the reg warning. Gonna remove the red flag.

    Disk Locale

So that people know he found a PM button.
  8. Fujimitsu, what are you saying? nLite can't remove something if you didn't select the component page and those components! I believe what you're experiencing is a failed installation. Check your Windows\setuperr.log file.
  9. Try searching, I believe there was some solution. Basically files are there it's just it doesn't see it, if those are the NLS files you're missing.

    Wireless USB Adapter

Did you search about the issue? http://www.winforumz.com/vista/DLink-DWL-G...topict4146.html Did you select Ethernet Wireless Compatibility? Attach your preset.
  11. One note though. If you integrate some addons or hotfixes, IE7 in particular, it can create some files bigger than 8 chars so DOS mode would report missing file. It would be best to initiate setup from the other 32bit Windows or boot from CD, I know that you can't do that now but so you know in the future.
  12. If it reported that your Driver.cab is corrupted then it's corrupted. Open it with Winrar and click Test in the toolbar, it should confirm that. You should replace your Windows CD.
  13. Yes it is for mice only, no point in using it for the joystick anyway. Going to add this into the description.
  14. It is properly set to * for blank but if you select Unattended Mode to Prompt Defaults then you'll get such confusing result. So either choose Hide Defaults (or Fully Automated) mode or don't select blank pass checkbox, just leave it empty and keep on using the same mode as before.
  15. Thank you, will be checking this.
  16. Ah, that means you didn't read our instructions in detail. anonymous_user replied exact instructions and it was the first post.
  17. Modify original DVD then attach the modified image to your custom install. Easier to maintain and it's impossible for me to support every modification there is. (it's all about the folders in this case)
  18. And now install it virtually, there is no Welcome center nor Snipping tool.
  19. Tested and all is removed as expected. Now it's your turn. ISO file with this preset should be 1.7GB.
  20. So basically you didn't try it, just looked at it. And it is all right. Integrated drivers are in the Windows\temp folder, installation initiated by a vHelper tool during install. I might change that to a package integration if: - I manage to do it without adding ms tools into the vlite distribution - that method installs a non-whql drivers like vlite's method does, do you know this one? And what are those folders, is that Driver Pack extracted or your own naming?
  21. No problem.
  22. EarlThePearl, that's because vLite doesn't integrate textmode yet, only PNP...if you know what I mean, after the boot. It is doable for the textmode but give me some time, there are more important things. In the meantime just copy the driver files to the CD where the Vista files are, I think that would be enough when asked for the driver, can't guarantee though. reini380, how did you test that? My nVidia gpu and Intel chipset drivers are integrated just fine. Just in case you didn't know in virtual installation it can't detect your hardware.
  23. Attach the preset and we'll see.
  24. DWM is Desktop Window Manager Session Manager, in Control Panel (Classic) - Administrative Tools - Services
  25. If you selected Aero compatibility (or kept Aero theme and DWM service) then: - make sure your latest display drivers are installed - see if DWM service is running - change theme to classic, apply, then back to Aero, apply, then go in Control Panel > Personalization and see if it's there I assure you vLite can't break Aero if those 2 components are alive.
