feverinlove, no, inf with all the files in the same same folder must be left intact while integrating. INF contains just an instructions how to use the files it accompanies. (unless it's a setup.exe or another file you're sure that isn't used when driver is installed but I won't get into that now)

Oh guys...inf files are just a part of it, you must not touch the driver folders, keep them intact with the accompanying files during integration. ikuzo, there is ZIP version of that driver or simply run Exe, don't press Next, just leave it there. Go into the temp folder and find a folder with "Driver" and "Driver64" subfolders in it, first one is 32bit and the other one is 64bit, integrate which one you need. On textmode popup select all from the list to be sure.

Haven't changed anything there. Try ISO in VMWare or VirtualPC. Also either burn with lower speed or try burning ISO with Nero or something. And see if you changed something in your bios in a last few months.

Your pride got the better of you. The Apply has 2 options, while by using the first one there is possibility to choose the wrong image during installation, on the second one it will rebuild with a single image withing the ISO. Both shrink the folder because some components delete files there. If by shrink folder you meant on the image file itself within the folder (biggest WIM file there) then I presume you tried the rebuild option, still I don't see the preset so your message is clear.

Why bother. Make ISO with nLite and burn ISO with Nero (Recorder-Burn Image) if you want to burn with it. I keep Nero at default settings, there is only one with the Joliet in name.

I did hear about this problem few times but still don't know why does it happen to you. All other users never complained...must be something. I'll get back to you. It just puts the temp entry, it doesn't influence your real machine, after reboot it's gone, and it's gone immediately if no error. It's changing some hive entry for the textmode boot, think of it as a micro registry during Windows booting. Even without this change it might work but this makes it more certain.

First why even extract the ISO, don't make one until needed, just modify the folder and when all the changes are done then make the ISO. You can just select ISO page in nLite any time and make an ISO or burn it without any changes. If you must extract ISO and that's where you loose the long names (I don't with Winrar) then try mounting it with Daemon Tools for example and then you can simply copy the files from the virtual drive.

Enable Hotfixing reports in the Advanced options on that page, then if you see that some hotfix is having too much older files check if you really need it. Then be sure to sort all hotfixes by their build dates and that IE is integrated before IE hotfixes. Top is first.

For Home edition you must create at least one Administrator user (not named Administrator of course) and select it to autologon on the right, not the Administrator but the newly created administrator. Also never upload Last Session_u, it contains sensitive data.
