    1.3 RC2

Weird problem, if you didn't remove it then somehow your INTL.INF file got corrupted. That file difference is because of removed Indexing Service files or some other component not to worry it won't remove what you didn't select. Try once more with the same preset and RVM but without the driver packs, they tend to clash with nLite sometimes, let me know what you get from that then we can proceed. Also be sure that the source you're using has clean installation files. When you're at it exclude all addons too.
  2. You can delete the whole folder but first you gotta take the ownership http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308421 and then assign yourself full privileges in the same security settings of the folder.
  3. Ok. I'm also getting a little bit annoyed by all of these WIM mount limitations: can bsod with antivirus and now you say on the network directory. I really hope they fix the filter.
  4. No problem, thank you for reporting it could have been a bug.
  5. Thanks for this, I always get a little embarrassed but it's so easy to overlook the typos. Gotta get some spell check plugin or something.
  6. alperen_69, Integrating IE7 shouldn't induce cmd popups, recheck your findings and integrate downloaded IE7, not some addon if you want to prove it. Also remember to write me down a little guide how to see it. Your problem sounds like failed addon during windows installation.
  7. How about you start removing it manually. I mean no disrespect, simply keep Security Center and remove it manually file by file, reg entry by entry, then you have total knowledge what's what. And please tone down a little, why are you so hyped anyway, if you need a component don't remove it, if you want me to teach you every single thing nLite does don't use it. I hardly wrote some mediocre guide not to mention to start explaining the technical stuff.
  8. If it's nLite 1.3RC2 then it's not directly nlite's doing it may be update pack or addon you're using. Anyway it's ok and normal but I too find it ugly so latest nLite has quiet operations.
  9. Do you have a antivirus installed? It can cause BSOD as well. But if it's not working on the networked directory even without a antivirus just copy it localy while modifying.

    Vlite crashes my winxp

This access image error could also be caused by the Temp folder redirection, keep it at Default and restart vLite next time it happens.
  11. Raptus, well DRM is integrated into WMP so when WMP gets removed that will go as well. But about those hidden services or drivers which shift bits or what-not I don't know.
  12. ripken204 is on the ball, definite possibility that it's the thermal protection from the CPU, it's overheating and throttling down. Try changing "OCed 3.0GHZ" to blank. Your machine should be very fast without overclocking, set everything to auto in the bios then see how it's performing.
  13. It's very likely to be the Windows Search indexing, turn it off if you don't need it. The search will still work but slower. Then check the task scheduler for defragmenter status and set it when you want.
  14. cpumemhd, to tell you the truth I think you did found a bug, now when checking the Windows set it with HKCU but I use both HKCU and HKLM probably because in some trial it didn't work with only HKCU but since then the reapply technique was upgraded so I'll return to HKCU only as it should have been, thank you for bumping this thread. I too use WINDOWS\TEMP so I don't experience any issues, also latest nlite won't reapply the default Temp folder and mess things up on accident but still needs this fix for people who use userprofile with tiny change in the path. Btw nLite creates the temp folder chosen, but gonna recheck that too.

    Driver integration

geese howard, I think you're missing the "auto" infront of "accept". Also check the vlite homepage top post.
  16. Why not ask HFSLIP guy that...I don't get it why here.
  17. Ok, then if it still fails then please consider doing some eliminations to see which removal or tweak caused it. In virtual it shouldn't take too long by the 50/50 exclusions.
  18. Tried your preset and no error. Try keeping the Component Cache next time, and reconsider other things, maybe unattended settings or something.
  19. It's simple...how long is the trial period before you have to activate, why not activate in a few days when you see that everything is right. Also we test in virtual machines too.

    Driver integration

For now it's just the PNP drivers but soon I'll add the so called Txtmode driver integration too. "Problem" for not doing it right away is that all the PCs I tried booted just fine so I'll have to first remove the built-in drivers to be able to test that. The setup so early (at the boot) is totally different image from the one which gets installed at the end.
  21. Since for me it was Modem support, modem drivers and ports, and you kept all those then try not to disable those services you do. Also keep these but some of them are just a wild guess because of that port thing: USB Ethernet MultiFunctional Multi-port serial adapters PCMCIA And check your BIOS, maybe it needs COM ports enabled or something.
  22. Beats me, as I said ADSL can't be broken with nLite alone because it's plain LAN connection (with optional PPPOE). Maybe some integrated unreleased Hotfixes or packs could do it...
  23. If you are talking about nLite then it does that by default, what popup did you get?
  24. I was looking at that while removing Remote Desktop and no luck. Since it's harmless and only annoying I decided to leave the removal since the component alone is more annoying than the message. But I too can't wait to nail that annoyance. So if anyone finds the tweak to turn that off let me know.
  25. prathapml, the driver integration won the 1 second fight. Gonna see about it for the next one because I caught myself splitting it manually for purpose of testing the 64bit version. Why I don't use DVDs? Well I have 10 CDRWs laying around and only 2 DVDRWs which purpose is for backup. Yeah always forget to buy more because I don't burn anything else...but it's also a nice feature to have. darksen, true, nothing is easy if you want to make it easy for the users.
