  1. i show here 75 already
  2. whoa ... checking on these 1 at a time is kinda taxing ... you may try to cross-check with the ff lists & see which ones are not required: Windows XP SP2 updates and hotfixes Windows XP (all), Post SP1/SP2 HotFixes Security Updates
  3. hdd is about to retire ... if your BIOS supports it, enable SMART detection ...
  4. that's lots of windows there for you ... lots of alt+tabs too ... but that's what i do too if i need to look at many posts ... he! he!
  5. please post your hfslip.log so we can see which HFs you have in there & which to take out ... as for KB915865 [xmlLite for Windows XP (KB915865)], i don't think there is no need to slipstream this ... most of the updates we use are critical updates (+ some optional updates ) ... if you have the other XML HFs, then it should do just fine
  6. that's good to hear! kindly post your hfslip.log ... KB924191 has something to do with MS06-061: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft XML Core Services could allow remote code execution while KB911564 is a Security Update for Windows Media Player Plug-in ... this is there if you are using wmp10 (?)
  7. hi Maleko! refer to this: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...;hl=recycle+bin
  8. as long older binaries are replaced by the newer ones, then it's fine as for RyanVM2.1.5 on top of 2.1.4, i think it is fine ... however, there was an older release that required for it to be uninstalled prior to using a newer release ... perhaps, tedious but since then that's what i've been doing when creating some test builds ...
  9. ha! ha! due to editing my reply, i missed out on putting back my answer about using boooggy's WMP11 addon ... have used it ever since & it works for me
  10. ***BUMP*** hi nuhi! is this something that i shouldn't mind taking it from here:
  11. hi Speeddymon! try these ...
  12. removed ... wrong post!
  13. hi CellarDoor_NCX! you may also view the ff:http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/nlite.html http://www.nliteos.com/guide/part2.html
  14. hi dcyphure! you may also view the ff:http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/nlite.html http://www.nliteos.com/guide/part2.html
  15. for wmp11, it's what you downloaded from MS that you need to extract ... create the folder manually in HF ... for ie7 it's also the package you downloaded in place in HF
  16. hi TC! maybe we need to have updated HF lists, specifically from here: (1) http://users.telenet.be/tc76/winup/_winxpsp2.html --- i use this regularly! ... as well as updated instructions in (2) http://hfslip.org/howto.html ... i think the reason why there are repetitions in terms of inquiries from some is that topics are discussed all over the place ... perhaps a consolidation of those discussed in: (1) HFSLIP - Test releases (2) HFSLIP, The 2K/XP/2K3 slipstreamer (3) other topics especially when it's about the latest updates (i.e., IE7, WMP11, other HFs) ... thanks! i know you guys are busy ... especially that Christmas & New Year are getting closer ... but this would lessen inquiries (thus, less answers too ... he! he!)
  17. hi jvidal! this may help: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=85856 to quote from Extended changelog for HFSLIP 1.2.1 & from Extended changelog for HFSLIP 1.2.0 goes into HF
  18. hi zeptin! kindly post your Last_Session.ini ... i think too it could be some addons that affects the Explorer shell ... but it could be something else as well ...
  19. hi melenor! use add-ons (which you may find all over from: http://ryanvm.net/msfn ) & put it in Hotfixes & Update Packs section ...
  20. would you be referring to the SP2 version you have on your machine? if so then you might have enabled: Show version of desktop ... otherwise, it could be the pop-up of authenticity ...
  21. figures ...
  22. hi TC! might have not noticed it before ... but is this new under your sig: "Real-time support (Yahoo Messenger): hfslip_tc76"? he! he! good luck man!

  24. hi retalv! perhaps this would be of help: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...amp;hl=USERNAME ...
  25. hi! just want to update those who thankfully replied to my concerns ... have requested a friend to test it in his board too (my apologies but i forgot the exact model ... but it was MSI), and all three CPUs worked with minor issue (OS couldn't load at 1st but only does so when doing it the 2nd-3rd time) ... just got the CPus returned to me now ... so i have not tested it yet ... i suspect there's some grounding issues with my system ... still 2 possible culprits - mobo or PSU (just like what you guys suspected ) ... i will have to test it later elevating my tower to a desk (or on top of anything that could not conduct electricity) ... it is usually seated on the floor (waxed concrete &/or marble flooring) ... i remember when it 2600 was tried on my system initially --- it was placed on top of a chair ... i am still keeping my fingers crossed though thanks!
