@mfarmilo can you do some reshacking? if you can save the first image into 256 color (4 bit) bmp with rle compression and change the default bootlogo (ntoskrnl.exe) with reshack i will release a new version of that bootlogo together with my X2K pack http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=73157

you can use ACD See 7-8 from ACD System it has a feature that can do that 1. browse your folder 2. select all image you want to merge 3. right click -> convert image 4. and in the last session of wizard you can do a single page or multi page image

i prefer the functionality so i grab the default explorer shell from win2k, without web view

pick me for the beta tester list i thinking again about X2K, should we intergrate that minlogon thing as a feature? i have tried to use some apps from winxp and some didn't work well on win2k (noticed the powerfull taskman ) do you have some list of file from xp/2k3 that can be use in win2k?

simply they couldn't do a .cab archive, i search over site and find that zipgenius was good, but i has poor compability to make archive. TugZip still best for me btw there is and free archiever soft called "kgb archiever" that can compress more tight than ever it can compress 700mb cd into 7mb or even less, but you need a speed pc to done that (and extract that) some warez site use this archiever soft to distribute Windows iso and Office iso

so you what have done : 1. creating and custom install (.mst) 2. select what component what to install and not 3. use office shrinker 4. got shrinked file 5. use 7zip or Winrar to compress it and cab it anyway there are a tool called removal component (if i correct) in office resource kit

hi i just want to test some of my php script and need some up to date web server package (too lazy to download separate thing like php,mysql,etc) currently i use phptriad 2.2.1 (last release, now the project has become comercial), i just want to grab a nice web server package like phptriad did basically what i want are : - PHP 4 and up - MySQL 4 and up - Apache web server 2.x and i have interest to this package : http://www.server2go-web.de but the main problem is, it's cdrom based web server and i need to install it on my HDD not run directly from cd, is it possible? anyway any other interesting package? thanks

so that is imposible? how about something such as "roll-up" or "post update" like M$ done with "update roll-up sp4"?is it impossible too? really i don't have friends that use broadband connection near (they all in different city and some of them different island) i use a small shared 128kbps connection here and the max download speed is only 10-15kb/s so download USP can take up to 4-6 days or maybe a full 2 days and i have seen other team that work on "AutoPacther 2K" project, they seem already solved that problem, they have a patch every month that only 10-20 mb and the full patch (desember 2005) is the base (huge, ~500mb) i have read some official news, it will release on 2007 just a couple month before vista release thanks
