this maybe simple things but actually windows have it, it called toolbar, take a look this pick and how to get it is really simple, just right click on the taskbar and select "Toolbars" and select whatever toolbar you want after that drag n drop the toolbar from taskbar to desktop (toolbar must be not in lock mode) then you can make it auto hide, always on top and make the desktop icon hide

ok i need some reference on Windows Shell API programming for Delphi especially a use for ShellExecute,WinExecute,ShlObj,etc... i already add some function to the taskbar replacement (named "WinTaskBar") like calling TaskManager, new shutdown app (named "WinShutdown") and othe things like recycle bin anyone know some good sites?

WinTask (developed using Delphi 7, build for 800x600 res, 1024x768 is later until it stable and usefull) WinShutDown (finished but still need some improvement for the label things)

yes i have a win98 upgrade version and winme upgrade version they both can be run from setup.exe and didn'y ask anything about license key of previous OS, currently i have (made) a cd with winme + win98se (both upgrade version) + msdos6.2 + win3.11 + office 2000 all in one cd

so? will you use it? the main problem some people have with bblean is the fluxbox-like interface that can simply complicated for windows user so if you can provide some theme that actually like windows interface (maybe xp or vista?) that would be better

good to have you editing registry with hive for example about $OEM$ that i talk was : X:\W2K_SOURCE\$OEM$\$Progs\BBLean then add something in runonce_ex.bat or in cmdlines.txt (sorry i never use it before) a command to run registry script with the registry of shell, you can export the default and edit it reference : http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/849/

also the main project of X2K was to bring some modern look and feel to Windows 2000 for now things deal with xp (cause i have access to all xp system files, not vista) especially royale a.k.a media center edition, just want to do some kind like XPize did in Win2K the project name in my first think is X2Kize but it sound really odd, so i delete the "ize" from the name to made it same like the project quotes Feel the eX2Kerience taken directly from Feel the eXPerience as you know this is winxp quotes enough with the talk, better grab my book and study thanks for all your attentions

logically you can do it 1. grab a copy of bblean/bb4win (i prefer bblean cause more stable), i prefer to grab a .zip version (installer version can cause some trouble) 2. extract it 3. copy the folder into $OEM$ folder in win2k source 4. go grab some registry tweak to change default shell as bblean and put it on runonce_ex.bat or cmdlines.text

i make this pack with winrar sfx, there are 2 version, the very silent or not silent version, the very silent version can be add .cab and make it able to hotsream it via nlite actually it's just a hack that can add image to login dialog and image to background and i didn't have a copy of neptune yup, but for some reason, it's hard for me to use vista icon as a main icon (personal interest), if you want to you can rehack the shell32.dll, so it's not planned right now thx and sorry cause i still busy with my exam

just grab it i will give you the old files that i have done if you want and why only 256 color? you need 16bit too

thanks for the question, that post is a shell32.dll only replacement, X2K will replace the amount (maybe less) of system files what xpize have done, new bootlogo, new ntlogo, new login screen (i have test to put background image on login screen), a new alt-tab replacement (using winswitch), and more (windows skinning ability still on hold) the idea is to create something like Tihiy Win98Rev but just a liltle minimalist like xpize did currently there ~170 files already hacked and more to come i will post other screenshot if i able

to use program manager from winnt 3.51 what do you need is a copy of progman.exe, comctl.dll and comdlg.dll, shell32.dll is used too (but it called shell.dll in win nt 3.51 isn't?) btw there are a registry tweak that basically change the windows 2000 explorer.exe most-likely win95 explorer.exe shell (no webview,back button, address bar, folder customize, etc) once more, i think its not a good idea to use winnt 3.51 shell (16-bit apps and maybe it can't work well in win2k or maybe a fully can't work and remember what IT Professional have said about the DUMP progman shell) better try to use bblean or bb4win, seem they have a clean interface like fluxbox on Linux

you can use ACD See 7-8 from ACD System it has a feature that can do that 1. browse your folder 2. select all image you want to merge 3. right click -> convert image 4. and in the last session of wizard you can do a single page or multi page image
