  1. Can anyone see the images at this page in NM27? Tested with a clean profile and the only images shown are from the ads there. The actual article images are somehow turned to broken data URIs - example screenshot This has happened before on all kinds of sites, but i always thought it was due to blocking and/or addons screwing up the pages. Turns out it wasn't. The same page shows fine in the latest Serpent build with my usual addons and proxies.
  2. I have not heard of any "PowerQuest Partition Editor". There is PowerQuest Partition Table Editor. There is also PowerQuest Partition Magic. Did the OP missed a word, or messed-up a word?
  3. @sparty411 It works here, although my CPU gets maxed on just 240p... What results you get on this page? P.S. 2MB for a single stupid .JS ?!? Those people are crazy... [EDIT] You may also try my way of viewing YT videos.
  4. The Developer Tools panel is broken. You can switch the tabs, but the content is blank. Can i use files from the previous build to quickly fix this, or i'll have to wait for your next build?
  5. It's not clear which one @Rho Borg asked about...
  6. Are you asking about this? Or you meant Partition Magic? Also, check this.
  7. Ever since i started using Serpent few weeks ago, there was a little annoyance with it. Often when i click on the Back button (or use the button with the same function on my keyboard), it doesn't work, so i have to click it a second time. Does this happen to anyone else?
  8. The one found here is good. Try also the source filter for direct streaming. There is also JDownloader , but that's kinda heavy. I use it for bulk downloads. SMPlayer was nice too, but i can't run the newer versions since they switched to QT5...
  9. I just found out these are created when you select "Last known good blablabla..." from the F8 boot menu. You better not delete them, just in case. This thing doesn't seem to have an uninstall section (just like the first driver). I tried it in a VM, when i selected Uninstall in Device manager, it just removed the device. All files and services were left running... Then i manually deleted the secnvme and secnvmeF services, and on the next boot i got BSOD with errorr 7B, lol. "Last good config" saved me from a lenghty manual fixing Anyways, don't remove anything yet. I will tell you later what to try (if you want to). gtg now Ok, here is what to do: Boot the working XP a few times. Do a couple restarts and shutdowns. This is to make sure that all pending changes (if any) are applied, the system boots fine, and the configuration is recognized as "good". Boot some Windows PE with a working registry editor included (i used Registry Editor PE). Load the registry of the working XP. Check the values of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\_REMOTE_SYSTEM_\Select\Current and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\_REMOTE_SYSTEM_\Select\Default (red part may be different depending on how you loaded the hive) - both values should be the same. Right-click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\_REMOTE_SYSTEM_\ControlSet00x key which has the same number, and export it to a .REG file. Unload the registry, close regedit. Make a backup of the \WINDOWS\system32\config folder of the crashing XP. Next load its registry in regedit. Check what ControlSet00x keys you already have and pick the next free number, i.e. if your keys go to ControlSet011, you pick ControlSet012. Minimize regedit for now. Open the exported .REG file in a text editor (Notepad). Search and replace all occurences of the original \ControlSet00x\ with the new \ControlSet00x\ . Save the modified file. Go back to regedit with the loaded crashing registry. Import the .REG file. In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\_REMOTE_SYSTEM_\Select\ edit the values of both Current and Default to the new number. Save, exit, reboot. Now try booting the crashing XP.
  10. If you restore a disk image backup created (by another program) in 2019, you may have the previous restore information. System restore records just the changed files, not the whole disk. What you need to restore? Data (photos, docs, game saves, etc.)? Older version of a program? Driver?
  11. Maybe @ruthan should stop "removing" drivers and begin uninstalling them instead :P
  12. Here is how i test memory - start memtest, wait until the address test finishes, push the memory module left-right - if i get errors or the system hangs, get the pencil eraser and start scrubbing the memory contacts :P
  13. Open the following key in registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96B-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Remove vmkbd from UpperFilters
  14. So, you (both) did actually remove too much, lol. Ok, a suggestion for the final package (if you ever reach that point :P) - provide one .inf with the minimum required modifications and another trimmed to your liking.
  15. Well, you can enable the options after installing, right? I just thought some setting/file that is required for the proper functioning was removed with all the modifications, and that's what causes these issues. Or, you can just ignore this and continue whatever you two were doing :P
  16. About this and the TapZones reseting to 0 - try testing on a driver with minimal modifications (no removing unwanted stuff!).
  17. @flyod Control panel > Display > Settings tab > Advanced > Troubleshoot Move the slider all the way to the left and check if it makes any difference. Also, try unchecking write combining and/or any other options you may have there. P.S. what acpi.sys you used to get XP working? Got a link?
  18. @TheLastDevil Works fine here in the same browser. I typed "gamers4life.com" and it immediately redirected me to http://www.gamers4life.com/forums/ , i didn't even get the Cloudflare page. Try testing with a clean profile.
  19. Is browser.allTabs.previews specific to New Moon? I created a boolean value with this name in Serpent, but it doesn't do anything... In NM27 toggling this immediately switches the "List all tabs" button between a drop-down menu and a gallery-like preview of all tabs. If this isn't supported by Serpent, is there any (lightweight) extension that can do the same?
  20. Just found some leftovers from when i was examining the Asus drivers. It may be because of UniExtract and not the actual setup program, but still... Check %USERPROFILE% for a SetupTPDriver subfolder.
  21. Neither. It means TouchPad TrackPoint is the IBM/Lenovo name for a pointstick. TrackPad is used either in connection to Apple related hardware, or by people who mix up touchpad and trackpoint (there are a few of these at my work).
