On many laptops with a pointstick there are two sets of buttons - above and under the touchpad. The top ones are often part of the keyboard and are usually associated with the pointstick and not the touchpad.

My Browser Builds (Part 2)
RainyShadow replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
This is on a clean profile - https://imgur.com/PUmRLTJ Notice how it allows to drop the tab in the bookmarks bar, but not on the tab bar. -
I was asking if the animated icon was actually, ummm... animated PointSTick = TrackPoint What is the "no" part? (i've seen you use the word "trackpad" before, maybe confused this for that?) NXP doesn't make laptop touchpad chips AFAIK. They make touch keypads and other stuff though. This looks interesting...
-
This seems to specify the trackpoint controller chip. @Dave-H could you check if setting this to 0 (Dynamic Trayicon) works? You should get an animated icon that shows where you touch the touchpad. How about archive.org?

Well, since this is revived already... Just FYI, the files on 4PDA give "soft" 404 when browsing as guest. Login and you can get the file :P

Ooops :P Seeing that both posts are about ALC8xx i thought this is AC97 too. Dumb moment here :P So, they'll need UAA bus driver first... Does such a thing even exist for Win9x?

That's some huge changelog :P The about:support page doesn't work in this build: -
This doesn't mean much to me. I can't tell Opel and Aston apart. My brother drives an Opel - sometimes when i forget, i confuse it for a WV. I drive a 40y.o. VAZ and a 30y.o. Audi. On the streets i can't tell the brand of most cars until i see the logo, LOL... Aston Martin was the "Bond car", right? ... OK, point taken. No linking to that site

@jaclaz Sorry. Previously i thought this thing needs manual scripting, but judging by what ZaPbuzz describes it could be used for installer monitoring as well. I never used it before. Add the fact, that first google result for "wise installmaster" leads to So, can this be considered abandonware, what do you think? [EDIT] Also, can [redacted] be linked to freely on msfn, or it falls under "warez sites"?
-
Backup the files in \Windows and the following subfolders: CATROOT Helpdesk\SFC INF (skip the .pnf files) OPTIONS\CABS SYSBCKUP SYSTEM SYSTEM32\DRIVERS This should cover most drivers. There may be support programs in \Program Files though. Also, in case a driver comes in a .msi package, you can backup \WINDOWS\Installer as well. If space isn't a problem, it would be best to backup the whole \Program Files and \WINDOWS folders.

So, you get BSOD with error 0xc000007b ? This may be useful - http://www.mediafire.com/file/ohkvsq1ma21u7sy/driverInjection_0.99.8.1.zip/file Move the drive to a working system (don't boot from it), run whatever Windows you have there (or WinPE) and use that program to enable standard IDE drivers. Then move the drive back and see if it boots.

Did you try this?

Maybe this can be useful for the final packaging (and even now for testing):

My Browser Builds (Part 2)
RainyShadow replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
@oryan_dunn you got the wrong build, get this one instead - https://o.rths.ml/basilisk/basilisk52-g4.6.win32-git-20200523-d6ba7ac-uxp-4d373c1d3-xpmod-ia32.7z -
If the strings section is the last in that file, you can just echo String28=*ETD0108 >> setup.ini from a .bat file or whatever.

My Browser Builds (Part 2)
RainyShadow replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Yes. It fails for all browsers, not just basilisk. ^(F!@##n forum soft...) Also, it would be nice if it allows different install folder. My browsers go in E:\Programs\ :P -

Serpent worked fine, thanks. Now gotta replicate my NM setup on it, phew... btw. your unofficial installer fails to move the extracted files here. It just does download > extract > *fail* > create shortcut to missing file. I got this to work in Serpent, but not out of the box. I had to set dom.serviceWorkers.enabled=true . No dice for NM27 though... -

@roytam1 Is there a SSE build of NM28XP? Or anything else newer than NM27.9.7? I'm having troubles with some sites recently, ugh... -

How do you expect someone from outside the said region to help you then?! You could at least arrange a french proxy for Roytam1 to connect through, if he is willing to help you. First you say that you don't use any add-ons, then you say that you deactivated content blocking add-ons to get the site working?! Did you try with a really clean browser, without any setting modifications and add-ons? Also, on the non-working browsers check the Tools > Web Developer > Web Console for any errors that don't show up on a working browser. -
Maybe they meant the RAID controller BIOS? Still, it won't be cluster size, more likely to be stripe size, unless the controller offers to format the newly created volume...
