No worries mate. Sometimes we all get overwhelmed. Finding USB Devices in Win9x Firstly, to get Win98 to see your USB device you might not need to restart. Instead: - Make sure USB device is inserted - Right Click on My Computer and Select Properties (or hold down Windows Key & Pause/Break key) - Go to Device Manager tab - Select REFRESH - Click OK Device should be found. Removing USB Devices in Win9x Double click into My Computer, find the device you want to remove, right click on it, and select EJECT You can then remove the device. Otherwise just make sure that no program is still writing to the drive (give it plenty of time after copying or access files from the drive), and just unplug it. Yes you might get a Blue Screen Error, but you can normally just 'Hit any key' and the system will return to normal. Installing USB Devices in Win9x As for a generic USB storage device driver, I have found Maximus Decim Native USB ver.3.1 to work with nearly every USB thumbdrive / pendrive I have got. Are u sure? I tested other Sony Ericcson phones like Z series and over win98 doesn't detect it(even with NUSB installed). Can u upload a screenshot of the phone working in win98? If is true i can share memory sticks with my family Im looking for a siemens phone, S65 but it's site doesn't give any info about software(and i have some problems with my current MC60 over windows-98 and 2000). I've always cleared all items found in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run including systray.exe When my computer boot, if I Ctrl - Alt - Delete the only Program running is Explorer. I have done this for years and never had a problem. So why do people say you have to leave systray.exe What does it actually do?

Well done Gape! You have made a lot of people happy. I wont be able to test it for a few days until I get a test rig ready as my current computer Win98 machine is in constant use and cannot be risked atm. I think it is better if you leave Metapad out. Many people don't require an updated replacement for Notepad. It's a service pack for Win98SE, just fix bugs in the operating system. Keep it simple. If people want 3rd party products they can easily download and install them themselves. Again many thanks!
