  1. Done that, still no go... However, when filling in the DNS servers a new error comes up: DC_Error.txt
  2. Basically the attached diagram says it all about the network setup. When I try to bring the PC in the domain, "No Domain Controller could be found" error shows up. DC running Fedora core 4, PC running XP Pro SP2, Wireless Router = Linksys WRT54GL, Access Point D-Link DWL-G700AP. I can connect to the internet though I'd be thankful if anyone could shed some light
  3. I'd like to see the Print Screen of his winver
  4. Once again, let me warn you about driver compatibility. Downloading the latest drivers off the manufacturer's site does NOT mean that they were written for Windows XP and / or they will work under XP. That outta way, good luck with your install!
  5. Just insert CD #1 in the optical drive. If that doesn't work, "trial by error" should hint you in the right direction
  6. Nope, you're right about that Digerati...
  7. Before moving on to the next step towards installing XP on your laptop, have you checked whether there are any XP drivers available?
  8. Put both machines in the same IP class, subnet mask and workgroup. Also, on the Vista machine make sure the LAN connection is set to "Private". EDIT: How did you connect the 2 machines? Direct connection, through a switch / router, wireless?
  9. 4 - 8 hours a day. Since I'm using the pc @ work during office hours there's no need to leave my home pc turned on, is it?
  10. http://filext.com/file-extension/prn
  11. Some more Dreamscene videos too...
  12. C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles\*your ID*
  13. The owner of that folder is "System", not Administrator or User. Have you tried logging in as System or taking the ownership over to your account?
  14. Have you tried the faulty mice with a different pc? Just trying to narrow down the issue a bit.
  15. Sendspace is free, I didn't have any issues downloading the file
  16. IE7, none (don't really shop online), IE7. Router, server, common sense is what protects me from evil
  17. My opinions: Harry Potter Books == Harry Potter Movies == "OMG! HARRY POTTER THIS AND THAT AND I AM SUCH A HARRY POTTER FANBOY LIKE OMG DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE NEW MOVIE?!??!!?" == :angrym: All the Harry Potter t-shirts and other crap that's just advertising really == So yeah, I agree. Ditto here. Can't say the same about my nephew though
  18. As tomrf said, that version of windows you are asking about is warez and that's not tolerated here. Please read the rules. More info on nlite, what it does and how to use it you can find here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=89 EDIT: @tomrf You might want to consider changing your avatar as flash avatars are not allowed. PS> Sorry to be so negative
  19. In this post you were asking about a Radeon 9600. What card do you have or looking to buy? If you want to buy a card, I'd recommend you get a Dx 10 compliant card. As to your question, the answer is simple: you get what you were looking for, but choppy.
  20. At this point you should configure your machine for a complete memory dump, archive the .dmp file, upload it somewhere on the internet and come back with the link to download it. Give cluberti some time to have a look at it and he will tell you where the problem lies.
