Are you constantly being told to get off your PC?
XtremeMaC replied to gamehead200's topic in The Poll Center
Its funny most of you say that u've got your own computer and your parent don't say anything to you bc they also have their pc's. Well my parents have pc's my sister have a pc I've a pc they stay on it for at most 1hr. I'm constantly infront of it They always come and tell me to shut it down. They keep telling me to study! Hopefully thats all they can do since I know comp better then them, I've control of it whatso ever. I know a friend of mine, His father turns off the power of his room hehe I got a ups that didn't work once they tried it:) ehehe of course for 20 min but enought time to save my work and enought time to yell at them lol -

XtremeMaC replied to Marztabator's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
I use it for .net programming also some programs use .net framework it makes it easier and the program smaller I don't think its got anything to do with protection and communication? havent gone through all the details of .net but don't think it does -

instead write services.msc to command line I'll suggest metaproducts startup organizer Its really organized I'm sure everyone has a same problem I've it myself above all the reasons I've too many usb devices and too many hardware installed, I'm thinking xp tries to load 'em up and this slows it. I've another problem though when I open taskbar I see no username from any programs? I had tweaked it too much but dunno what caused it. you can close most services but it doesn't really get you anywhere try this page has information about the services if you dunno what they do Black Viper also you might have a non compatible driver maybe ?

I had this kind well not the same but a similar situation. When I connect through dial-up dl stuff Its ok. But as soon as I open many ie windows line disconnects. I'm thinking there was a line you could add to the extra initialization commands in your modem's setting, but I cant recall it. I'm not using a modem anymore so I dunno

I Have Office Xp But Without "proplus.msi"
XtremeMaC replied to The Captain's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
maybe its a system file and hidden try changing the views to all hidden files & hide protected operating system files. Don't think that's the matter but give it a try also is it a legit cd and does it work? have you tried running setup? try searching the subfolder for executables and msi's. also submit a list view instead of icons also i'm pretty sure if you get the opk tools for 2002 you'll be able to do something and look for log files I don't know what they are but I'm pretty sure they're not hard to find -

correct me on this but doesn't office already come with proofing tools? It comes with english french and somethingelse can't quite remember and if you have a proofing tool you can try different switches on them. many would work on them if its a ms proofing tool...
