its probably real I had beta tested xp there were many leaked version on the net by then. I think when they're doing the beta's they include whatever patched hotfixed they included in the past and more. So i don't really think i would be vulnerable that much, but then again I don't know what really is in the sp2

did you try installing manually I'm sure it gives an error. because of dell monitors not bc of you

hey is there anyone that knows how to remove: in internet explorer when you right click on a picture there will be "Email picture, print picture, set as background, set as desktop item" Well the only one which annoyes me the most is email picture whenever I press it accidentally it tries to email obviously, most of the time it fails and have to wait for a long time so the corresponding program could open up type subject put the pic in. I hate it!! has anyone found a way to remove these? thanks

Why are ppl still using zip I hate it and will always hate it I always get crc errors and stuff like that not mentioning the extension confusing in this topic but in general never had a problem with .rar files supports many thing has a better gui swtich to RAR **** it it also handles .exe .zip .iso & etc. and has a better compression than zip PLEASE SWITCH!

it works just fine no problem with it tweak manager link I had followed that guide so the sfc_os.dl_ file is the file that's been changed using the link provided

I had the same problem once on my installs Then I switched to Virtual PC lol just 5 min ago I reinstalled vmware I want to see what exactly setup is installing. Since I can make the install to a phy drive I will watch it Virtual Pc doesn't have that option. Since Microsoft is producing(co) it might be more stable? **** Vmware physical drive doesn't work why the hell did they put the option stupid Vmware!

I'm actually trying it right now. but I don't see why it would copy more files? the install is 1.01GB I can't really test the speed since virtual pc already runs very slow!! I've not yet came across any problems by the way okay I'm convinced that it doesn't speed up! but I don't see why it wouldn't speed up I'm doing pre-extraction for the setup!

No you don't need to partition your hdd thats what it is for so that u don't go create partitions, have troubles with multi boot. Virtual Pc and vmware creates a file say 2GB in your physical drive. ie hdd.vmdk, New Hard Disk.vhd So its the easiest thing to deploy. The only part where it fails is it doesn't include all the drivers. For example they use their own display adapter So If you're going to check if your updated driver works you might want to do something otherwise deploying works just great! sorry for this stupidity the page didn't fully load I thought there was only 1 page, answered wrong q

ok here is what at did with norton system works 2003 on winxp home I just wanted to modify the norton utilities so I went to NU folder found the nu.iss file opened it up with notepad deleted everything about unerase wizard, system doctor. and runned setup.exe /qb setup didn't ask me any questions, I only see the time remaining bar which I must tell doesn't show the real time it takes:) says 3 seconds but took at least 3 min lol okay just finished installing the changes I made didn't work but it did a complete install without asking anything so /qb works I had edited logitech's cam driver's ini and just worked fine only installed the components I wanted... also it didn't reboot sorry couldn't really help

I've Never read a post where Numinous actually did something really really good!. I don't see any pinned topics from Numinous. Last week I had a fight with a friend of mine. Since he was not acknowledging anyone elses ideas only his, he didn't dare to accept what I said. Well most friends thought the same way I thought. Now we just laugh at him when something similar happens. With ppl like that the fight continues forever. Hi there I was just thinking since we delete the .**_ files and copy over the updated files when using svpack method could we just expand all the files? Notice: Assume you are not updating anything just a clean install with sp1 integrated.. Would this speed up the install process? if yes how fast just a min? !!(Clean install with SP1 integrated)!! I tried the suppress method didn't work instead I changed the .ini file I think it was install.ini. There you'll see default install options I changed 1's to 0's... [Product] RequireRebootOnInstall=0 MaintModeReboot=0 Okay it might not be install.ini I just remembered that since symantec is using Installshield installer there should be an .iss file (I checked there is one) [sdFinishReboot-0] Result=1 BootOption=0 there is something like this I've not yet tried it on 'internet sec' just tried it on the systemworks try looking in .iss and .ini files there are plenty of them in the setup i'm using..

I can change all to .exe if you want I just didn't bother to change the last one yes disable the system restore doesn't do any good!!

I'm thinking about putting my svcpack.inf here but I'm frightened to get so many laughs at it; it doesn't look good if you could spot any correct stuff please tell me i still couldn't figure out which way is the fastest which way is the easiest install for hotfixes and programs! is there anyone that has done both the svcpack and the *.cmd's and got a gooood result on either of them the xpcreate method took hours to finish I didn't like it or made some errors through it cmd method still adding stuff to it, I wanna put all the programs into it office 2003 msn trillian norton utilities flashget hotfixez winamp dc virtual pc etc also I'm using my desktop, favorites, my documents, my music, my pictures on an other hdd. while i'm installing should I change the paths from the registry or is there any other way. well there is a wmp9/mm2 cd order couldn't find anything about a combined one fixed MSFN (all uppercase ) I was trying svpack.inf type of install. I put all the *.cat containing updates to the .inf file but some seem to have a kb and a q .cat (q111111.cat kb11111.cat) which one am I supposed to put? I put all of them and my setup restarts at 33min mark couldn't get throught that....
