    IE8 support?

Hi everyone, IE8 final was released yesterday, is it gonna be supported by HFSLIP anytime soon?
  2. Just a question, are those cabs even supported by HFSLIP?
  3. if it also crashes in a VM, then it's NOT a RAM issue...
  4. thanks jimmsta & tomalak!
  5. Well, the tittle says it all, flash player 10.0.12.36 has been released, we need a package suitable for HFSLIP, can anybody create one? cheers!
  6. Hi! First of all, post your hfslip.log file, you probably missed/missplaced something. Now, if you can't install windows using a non-hfslipd CD either, that STOP code points to catastrophic HW error (deffective CPU/MB/RAM). (could also be deffective media and/or CD drive) Try installing in a VM, to rule out HW issues. bye!
  7. **** M$. Still, I ditched WMP9 ages ago, so...
  8. Thanks! problem solved. I will continue to include them when I run HFSLIP.
  9. yes, I know that. What I was asking is why does WU/MU wants me to have them NOW, they're really old...And the were not needed before...
  10. Just wondering, is HFSLIP intelligent enough to not overwrite newer files with older ones? bye!
  11. I noticed that MU/WU now wants me to have those updates, even if they're REALLY old? Anybody else seeing this? greetings, J.
  12. I think this package needs updating, after a clean install, MU/WU still wants me to have KB951072

    Graphics card

Dude, you're in the wrong place. What's this got to do with HFSLIP??????? BTW, the're are no drivers for that card, just use the ones that w2k installs. It's REALLY old, support was dropped ages ago.
  14. OK, weird thing, today I deleted the VM and created it again and this time it installed fine, except WU wants me to have KB951376 although I included it in HF... bye!
  15. Hi! I just built an updated XP64 CD using hfslip64 1.1.3 and when trying to install, the installation never goes beyond T-37, it just sits there, forever...the animated indicator on tyhe lower-right keeps moving forever and the text showing the new features of windows changes every few seconds, but nothing else happens. what gives? I have used this exact version of hfslip64 in the past and everything went fine. here's the Log: This file is automatically generated by HFSLIP64 © TommyP, 2005-2008 / © Tomcat76, 2008 ============================HOW TO REPORT A PROBLEM============================ If running into problems, refer to http://hfslip.org/64/ HFSLIP support forum: http://msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=129 =============================================================================== HFSLIP64 version - HFSLIP64 v1.1.3, build 64-80429 HFSLIP64 path - C:\Temp\hfslip64\ SOURCE OS - Windows XP Professional x64 Edition SP2 English MSIE version - MSIE7 DRIVER32 - No updates DRIVER64 - DRIVER.CAB updated =============================================================================== Files in your HF folder: IE7-WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB938127-x64-ENU.exe IE7-WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB950759-x64-ENU.exe IE7-WindowsServer2003-x64-enu.exe MUAuth.cab muweb_site.cab windows-kb890830-x64-v2.0.exe windowsmedia11-kb929399-v2-x64-intl.exe WindowsMedia11-KB936782-x64-ENU.exe WindowsMedia11-KB939683-x64-ENU.exe WindowsMedia11-KB941569-x64-ENU.exe WindowsMedia6-KB925398-v2-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB924667-v2-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB925148-v4-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB925902-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB927891-v5-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB929123-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB930178-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB931261-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB932168-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB932596-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB933729-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB935839-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB935840-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB936021-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB941202-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB941644-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB941693-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB942763-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB943055-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB943460-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB943485-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB944653-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB945553-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB946026-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB948590-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB950760-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB950762-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB951376-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB951698-x64-ENU.exe WindowsServer2003.WindowsXP-KB951748-x64-ENU.exe WindowsUpdateAgent30-x64.exe wmp11-windowsxp-x64-enu.exe Files in your HFSVCPACK folder: Files in your HFSVCPACK_SW1 folder: Files in your HFTOOLS folder: boot.bin cWnd.exe cygwin1.dll HFSLIP64_POST_DelObsBin.cmd HFSLIP64_PRE_SWFlash9.cab HFSLIP64_PRE_SWFlash9.cmd HFSLIP64_PRE_TZ4.cab HFSLIP64_PRE_TZ4.cmd mkisofs.exe Files in your REPLACE folder: C:\Temp\hfslip64\REPLACE\AMD64\MPLAYER2.IN_ =============================================================================== HFSLIP64 run time: 14m16s
  16. Obviously, I was talking about installing with an HFSLIP'd source... Bye!
  17. Hi! I just noticed that when installing XP64, the initial wizard is skipped altogether and you end up in the "administrator" account by default. Is this normal or is it a bug? bye!

    KB 938127 & SP3

Hi! TC told me on another post that he includes KB938127 because it includes newer binaries than the ones already included with SP3, even if WU doesn't ask for it. Moreover, trying to install it on an already-SP3 windows, results in an error saying that "the service pack is newer than the update you're trying to install (or something like that)". I think it should be removed from the updates list. Just my two cents. bye!

    new sp3 source

Don't know about that. I think there's an error in the HFSLIP.LOG file, it says "OS in SOURCESS", it should say "OS IN SOURCE". Unless is copies the source FIRST into SOURCESS and then apply the patches over that.
  20. Thanks, I actually included KB898461 & the ones in your updates list, rebuilt and everything went just fine. Thanks again for your great work! bye!
