Thanks! I'll try it right away! Alright, tried the latest RC, still no luck with that .mof file error. Initial setup wizard showed up ok, even though I did NOT include KB894871 this time. BTW, where it says "OS in SOURCESS", shouldn't it be "OS in SOURCE"?? I think it refers to the source, not the outcome. bye! here's the log: This file is automatically generated by HFSLIP HFSLIP is for personal use only Copyright© TommyP 2005-2008 ============================HOW TO REPORT A PROBLEM============================ If running into problems, refer to http://hfslip.org/support.html HFSLIP support forum: http://msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=129 =============================================================================== Host OS - Windows XP HFSLIP Version - 1.7.6rc3, build 80427a HFSLIP Path - C:Temphfslip OS in SOURCESS - Windows XP Professional SP3 Spanish MSIE Version - MSIE7 Drivers - DRIVER.CAB Updated CD Install Path - Default CDTAG - WIN51 =============================================================================== Files in your HF folder: IE7-WindowsXP-x86-esn.exe Windows-KB890830-V1.40.exe WindowsUpdateAgent30-x86.exe WindowsXP-KB941569-x86-ESN.exe wmp11-windowsxp-x86-ES-ES.exe Files in your HFCABS folder: LegitCheckControl.cab MUAuth.cab MuCatalogWebControl.cab muweb_site.cab Swflash.cab Files in your HFGUIRUNONCE folder: Files in your HFSVCPACK folder: Files in your HFSVCPACK_SW1 folder: messenger.msi Files in your HFSVCPACK_SW2 folder: Files in your HFTOOLS folder: boot.bin cmdow.exe cygwin1.dll HFANSWER.INI mkisofs.exe modifyPE.exe Files in your REPLACE folder: =============================================================================== HFSLIP run time: 12m45s

I got a hold of the spanish ver. of SP3, slipstreamed it and then ran HFSLIP on that source. Included IE7+WMP11+KB941569+KB890830+WUA30+MU/WU cabs+SWFLASH.cab. HFSLIP went fine, but while installing I got the same error about that .mof file not being found and a new one: initial wizard is skipped altogether. I guess I need to include KB894871 (this didn't happen with the english version). MU/WU are 100% happy, even though i didn't include any WMP11 or IE hotfixes. BTW, putting messenger.msi in HFSVCPACK_SW1 still does not work: no messenger gets installed. This time, the wizard showed up (except the part for automatic updates). The weird thing is that while processing KB894871, hfslip said "0 files copied". The .mof file not found error is still there. bye!
  5. Running HFSLIP64 on a 32-bit platfrom doesn't cause any problems? I once tried integrating HFs and IE7+WMP11 with nlite and it didn't work, I HAD to run it on windows x64.
  6. Just a little question, guys. HFSLIP64 HAS to be run on an x64 platform, right?

Anyway, I did what kyllingfot told me and it works just fine! IE7 & WMP11 work fine. WU is 100% happy and I didn't include any IE7 or WMP11 HF. bye!

    XP SP3

Why not? they clearly want us to have them, they push 'em via automatic updates. But when it's time to release an SP, they leave them out? For us who are system builders and are configuring PCs all the time it's a lot better to have all that junk included in the source instead of wasting a lot of time installing it afterwards. bye! Ok, I did some testing. I slipstreamed SP3 on an SP2 source via the usual method and installed on a VM. Everything went fine. IE is v6.0SP3, WMP is v9.0. WU wanted to me have kb890830,so i installed it, then I installed IE7, didn't select to install updates, installed WMP11.Then I went to WU and it wanted me to have KB941569. WUA30 is not needed, BTW, when I tried to install it, it complained that the service pack already includes a newer version. Then I ran HFSLIP on the SP3 source and included IE7,WMP11,kb890830 and kb941569. Also included MU/WU cabs, swflash.cab, legitcheckcontrol.cab. HFSLIP went fine and created the ISO normally. I will install it and see what happens. I'll get back to ya after I do that. Bye! Ok, tried to install, but at T-28 a window popped up complaining that the file "napclientprov.mof" on (Unknown) could not be found and asking me to provide its location, i just pressed "Cancel" and installation continued. The rest of the installtion went fine and windows booted ok, but it doesn't work correctly. Quicklaunch won't appear ("couldn't create toolbar" error message). Start menu is missing items, problems with internet and email links on top of new start menu. IE won't run either. bye!

    XP SP3

Hi! XP SP3 has been released today! I have a question, If I slipstream SP3 with the usual method (not using hfslip) and then want to slipstream updates/HF/etc with HFSLIP, which ones should I include? WU/MU cabs? swflash? WUA? Lecitcheckcontrol.cab? I suppose IE7 and WMP11 are already included in SP3...plus, obviously, all previously released HFs. thanks!
  11. Hi! Adobe just released flash player version 9.0.124 (flash9f). How should we handle it? need a reworked package? bye!
  12. No, I'm using an unmodified version of windows XP. I don't use those versions, i only asked about using hfslip on modified versions of windows, but I don't use them myself.
  13. Ooops, I missed the "attachments" section... Wait, there's no "winnt.sif" in the CD. Did you mean "TXTSETUP.SIF"?
  14. Alright, sorry about that. (still, I may have mentioned it, only as an example of a modified version, but never asked where to get it or how to circumvent WGA or for a serial number or crack, etc). Ok then, let me rephrase the question: If I have modified my windows installation, added new themes, drivers, removed stuff, etc using nlite, can I use hfslip on that source or should I use hfslip first?
  15. Hi! I have not disabled installation of Messenger, just added it to HFSVCPACK_SW1, like I was told. The weird thing is that it does work with W2K, but not with XP. How can i post my winnt.sif file?
  16. excuse me, but where did I ask for warez/cracks/etc??????? Please, learn to read and then answer! Just so you know, using those modified versions is perfectly legal if you own a license...
  17. Hi guys, got a little question for you. As you may know, there are tons of modified versions of windows XP floating around the net e.g Colossus edition, angelical edition, UE,etc. This are nice and include some improvements/optimizations or new themes, etc, but are not always up-to-date, so I was wondering if it is possible to use HFSLIP on those. Has anyone tried it? C ya!
  18. Hi! I have a bug report. I followed the instructions you guys gave me and placed windows messenger 5.1 (messenger.msi) in HFSVCPACK_SW1, but it is not installed, moreover, the version that comes with XP doesn't get installed either. This happens with XP, with 2k it works fine. Hope TC or tommyp can look into this. bye!
  19. OK, I ran it again, this time inside a VM running XP pro x64. All patches integrated this time. I think nlite should warn when the target is an x64 OS and it's being ran in an x86 environment. bye!
  20. Ok, since M$ released new hotfixes today, I decided to rebuild my XP x64 cd and this time, THREE updates didn't integrate: KB936782, KB941569, 942763 Did someone say nlite had to be run in an x64 environment to slipstream hotfixes into an x64 windows cd???? nlite does not say anything about that...it should complain about that immediately after detecting the source as x64 and being run in an x86 environment, to avoid the waste of time. I will install nlite in a virtual machine with xp x64 and see what happens. bye!
  21. Of course I ran it as admin. I didn't disable my AV, I'll try that as soon as I have the time. Thx! bye!
  22. I don't know if wmp11 slipstreamer is compatible with HFSLIP. It works with nlite, but I don't know if it'll work with HFSLIP.
