  1. For starters, you need to read the HELP file After that, you need to follow the instructions. It seems your board only supports USB1.1. Sandisk Cruzer U3 is USB 2.0 and you don't have that support. You need to get a addon card like I did and maybe you'll have a shot. Until then, you can enjoy other options in SP3. BTW, you should be using 3.50 instead of 3.49.
  2. You are NOT suppose to do that. After you install SP3, you will have to choose between Maximus-Decim Native USB Drivers NUSB 3.6 or USBSTACK from SP3. The difference between the 2 packs, SP3 uses updated files from Windows 2000/XP and adds XBOX 360 drivers. Other than that, they both work so choose your posion with discretion. Follow the instructions and all will be fine. As you can see, all my USB drivers are working.
  3. This file is NOT included in SP3 because it breaks Virtual Private Network (VPN). You need to take into consideration, that many Official updates broke certain things on systems is why some files were not added. Sorry, but there is no one size fits all.
  4. Thank you very much Drugwash. Hopefully all goes well for the new user.
  5. Before we go any further, please understand what is included. These are some of the options in SP3 with 3rd party drivers Adaptec ASPI Layer 4.71.2.0- APIX.VXD 4.71 (0002)- ASPIENUM.VXD 4.60(1021) - WINASPI.DLL 4.60 (1021)- WNASPI32.DLL 4.71 (0002)Microsoft IExpress Wizard 2.0- CABPACK.EXE 1.4aNTFS Drivers for Windows 98 + NTFS Partition Deleter 1.00- PNTFS.VXD 3.0.2.2Windows Script Engine 5.7.0.16535 + Dynamic WrapperX 1.0- DYNWRAPX.DLL 1.00WDM Filter Driver- USBU2A.SYS 1.4.2.0USB Storage Class for Casio devices- USBDSC1.SYS 4.10.0.1998- USBDSC2.VXD 4.10.0.1998VIA USB 2.0 HUB Driver- USBHUB20.SYS 4.90.3000.11The SP installs over 1400+ updated files from all different windows versions from NT to Win 7, except for the 11 listed above, every single file is from a legit Microsoft source. There are no 3rd party apps, just drivers. This is why I constantly ask people to read so they are not mislead. Many assume the pack is full of 3rd party apps bloat and garbage etc..., but the pack doesn't have any, just drivers that are essential and options that users may need for everyday use. Example: Remote Desktop, VPN Client, Active Directory etc... Networking components. BTW, Main Updates/Core Components install microsoft files only. NO 3RD PARTY APPS. Whether you use the pack or not, know what you speak of before spreading propaganda. The pack is clean of 3rd party apps, just a ton of Microsoft Tools and software for users who don't like to use 3rd party apps. There you have it, straight from the horse's mouth. Enjoy P.S Even the 3rd party drivers are optional. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edit: miscalculated
  6. I also love to do it without 3rd party apps. You may want to try Internet Printing Protocol (IPP).
  7. Everthing is there except Internet Explorer updates. DSCLIENT.EXE is there as well. If you do decide to use SP3 please read the instructions.
  8. Can you please list the actual files that are NOT present from you list please? Some files were not included for specific purposes.
  9. Thanks, I had no knowledge of this. What are the advantages of DosBox compared to other Virtual software?
  10. Is blackwingcat files needed if using the one from 5eraph?
  11. I just created an INF for the Win98 driver http://reboot.pro/topic/2384-alter-group-universal-ata-driver-for-windows-nt351nt42000xp/ Not able to test it atm.
  12. There you have it, if one was to research this more, it could become a universal fix. I'm semi busy but will look into it some more later. If users want to pursue, one needs to focus on the drivers and not the hardware. This is how I came to this conclusion.
  13. From what I have read online, it seems to do with DirectSound, Kernel Streaming, Waveout, Latency and IRQ etc.... I don't have a need for it, but thought I could shed some light yall way. I might use it down the line once I gather some friends from overseas. Other than that, I can test and help you guys, it does play well with SP3. In other words there are no conflicts between the two. I have tested this on others machines and have witness your issues. It is not a hardware problem but moreso a driver issue because the same version runs on a Win2000 and Xp with Win98 on a dual boot. You will get a crackling sound, stuttering, choppy.... Here is a partial work around 1. Right click the speaker icon and click Adjust Audio Properties. 2. Click on Advance Properties for Playback and Recording and set them like the screenshot 3. A possible solution to emulate sound and fixed latency problems. http://software.muzychenko.net/eng/vac3.htm
  14. I just updated Win98 and XP with blackwingcat and 5eraph version. Thanks guys.
  15. I have created an unofficial installer of MSN Messenger 7.0.0820 for users who don't have IE6 installed. It installs and runs smooth from what I can see. I don't use any version of IE, only the core files from SP3. You can also download the A-Patch to modify the bloat. http://apatch.org/downloads/ Make sure you download the MSN version. If interested, I will upload. If you decide to use A-Patch on Windows 98, users must uncheck the options or the the patch will hang. Those specific options DoNot work on Windows 98. Show Idle StatusShorten Status Info in Info Bar
  16. Yes, the files are needed for proper operation. I haven't found any newer versions that works natively on Win9x. I put them in the system dir so other apps could use them instead of having 50 copies of the same files on a system that lacks hard drive space. The same files are included in SP3 and works on many systems. The files are original Microsoft, not modded etc... As of yet, haven't had any complaints about them causing trouble on systems. These files can also be downloaded from MDGx site, is where I got mines from. Glad you got to download it.
  17. I'm not sure if the files will work on Non-SSE machines, I can't test because all of my machines are SSE/2. Maybe you can ask blackwingcat to patch for non SSE systems.
  18. I need some help fixing some bugs and compiling with AutoIT 3.2.12.1. Thanks
  19. I have revised the installer (Rev 02) blackwingcat has fixed a bug in the Openssl SSE files. Users with SSE2 instructions can ignore this update. Enjoy. @ Drugwash I will upload to another repository for you. Don't know if you will have better luck, but hope you do. Thanks Links in first post.
  20. The dell package has a newer version
  21. I have revised the installer (Rev 01) to fix the error loading certificate. Enjoy
  22. It would be ideal to create a patch for Win98 instead of using the Win Me version. It took almost 5min for Windows to detect a USB Mouse with the ME driver.
  23. Do you have any hotfixes installed or just office xp sp3? You will need to download all hotfixes and updates after Office XP SP3.
  24. Follow the instructions http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/119841-xbox360-controller-driver-for-win98/?p=983391
