  1. WPA Clients are card specific. You can't use Broadcom WPA/2 client on intel wireless card. If that was the case, this topic and others like it wouldn't exist. Now if one was to hack the client to detect any card, that would be the only solution.
  2. Give me a link to the drivers, and I'll see what I can do.
  3. You stole my post from another forum. You are a real gem. Enjoy the fruits of someone else's labor. You have a nice Mother's Day.
  4. I can't wait for the rebuttals , mannnnnn. This gonna be good!!!!!!
  5. Thanks heinoganda for combining the solutions for 4.6. You have made some people very happy. I'll try to looking into the nag screen for 4.7 if you don't beat me to the punch.
  6. Will you create an installer for it? Some might find it useful or a workaround for the nag. Thanks
  7. If anything, the scan engine would detect malicious content better. IDK, I don't use virus scanners on my computer but put it on family and friends comps. I can't really say, one would have to benchmark.
  8. Shall we continue with this endeavor? I do have test machines ready. Just let me know what you need, I'll try my best.
  9. I tried using the method to remove the nag screen, but it doesn't work on Microsoft Security Essentials 4.7.205.0. I have use my method to install version 4.7. I have not gotten 4.8 or higher to work on WinXP. Auto updates works, no errors or popup other than the nag screen.
  10. That's a problem. I don't do social networking at all. And if I did, would you understand my English well? I don't speak Italian, so exchanging information could be a pain.
  11. This might get you guys a bit further http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/171498-need-microsoft-security-essentials-grab-it-now/?do=findComment&comment=1095416
  12. I also would like to know the method you are using. Thanks
  13. It's all good. My router has WPA/WPA2, so I had no problem running the WSC Guard. My only issue was, when I was outside of my home network, everything was WPA2 only.
  14. I installed it, wouldn't run. Your best bet, is to use WSC Guard/McAfee version. The options for WPA2 are limited. Pretty soon we'll have a hundred topics asking the same question. I have tried the wpa supplicant as well, missing dependencies.
  15. Here is an WPA client, no support for WPA2. You need to remove all network adapter drivers except for Wireless, Modem and Ethernet. Then install the client. You should have WPA. https://web.archive.org/web/20050825192047/http://www.wirelesssecuritycorp.com/wsc/public/Downloads.do
  16. Those are the official drivers, I just manipulated the .inf file, which I'm very good at. As long as the DLL, SYS, EXE etc... not missing any dependencies, I can PROBABLY get it working. We'll have you up and running soon. Take Note I can only test hardware that I have. I can not test blind, have a nice day.
  17. We'll fix that too. I am PROBLEMCHYLD the TROUBLESHOOTER
  18. Here is a link to the Wireless Driver for Win9x. Not sure if your model will work, but it should. Test it and report back please. https://www.techtalk.cc/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=3566
  19. We'll fix that. I'm gonna upload some files soon, so be patient. Gotta prepare supper for my children. Be back soon. Can you please post a picture of your internal card if possible. Thanks
  20. Please list your internal wireless card model. Thanks
  21. Or, one can use the MSIEFTP.DLL 5.50.4956.500 if wanting to avoid 3rd party apps 1. Click Cancel on the first screen/popup/error etc..... 2. Click File and Login As.... and you should be able to surf without the 3rd party apps
  22. We were just guinea pigs. Ironically, I don't have any browser on my Win98 machine, so I'm at no lost. Another one bites the dust.
