Disregard the post, feature already implemented. Thanks Setting a Master Password encrypts your passwords. @ Drugwash I agree, we should have an updated browser that don't requires unofficial packs, whether it be SP3, KEX, 982ME etc.... Not everyone use or want these packages installed on their systems. http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/152624-experimental-firefox-7-build-for-windows-98/

Deleting history.dat and cookies does NOT clear Location Bar History. This might be an issue for users who share computers. Another issue it that passwords can be seen in Password Manager. Is there a way to encrypt or add a way so that it is not viewed incase one is snooping around. Add a login feature to view it or something. IDK

When you create certain shortcuts to the desktop, you get a popup screen. I think it varies on the extension. go98 patch removes the popup.

Yes, the 2.x version or 3.x early version. I'm not sure the exact one but I can search if you are interested.

I have patched SHELL32.DLL with your code and all is well. It will be added in the next SP. Thank you

Thanks, I'll just have to deal with it. Not a big issue, I have learned to improvise. What about a fork version of Pale Moon?

I have found a couple of (M), also a small bug. When you select Pictures and Text options, you get no text, only pictures. I use the text only option.

I have been playing with the default install for the last few hours. I love it, I'm officially ditching Opera. This is lightweight, fast and doesn't require anything. Just install and go. Youtube works flawlessly. No stuttering, no nags talking about update browser etc... This is my new default browser for the moment. I will play with the features over the weekend. Testing my email with the built-in and other things. Thank you so much for helping make my new year. I will report back. It plays very well with my hybrid system. No errors so far. Keep at it.

Only users, who are owner of a legit original XP CD with a Microsoft hologram are supported by me. What about people who download theirs from a legit source? https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=25129 -
I tried to reproduce your issue and did not get a BSOD, I was able to connect 2 USB flash drives and access them. I'm 100% positive, I am NOT the only one using USBPORT.SYS 5.0.2195.6941 successfully with as many people using the SP, I would have been removed it or came up with a solution/work-around. It all boils down to hardware. What I would do is install WinXP and see the layout, and try to duplicate it from XP. Take into consideration, I'm using a USB 2.0 PCMCIA add-on card and NOT onboard USB 2.0. This might make a big difference. I'll keep searching and see if I can find something. Merry Christmas

Not sure if you'll ever get it working like you want to, but I have never witness the USB issue you just posted. I am able to plug in as many USB at the same time. The 2K files depends on other 2k files to be present. If you don't replace the whole stack, you will continue to get BSODS. I learned this from years of testing.

There is no such thing as Windows Update for Windows 9x. Good luck, its been dead for years. You are fighting a lost battle. Hopefully you will win the war. We highly doubt it, this is where unofficial packs come in. Take into consideration, you might be wasting others time is why the rebuttals might seem aggressive.

@ jaclaz + LoneCrusader You are correct, some files can be replaced one by one and some files needs to be replaced in bulk. I'm not sure if the file is problematic on other boards, but have tested them on a couple of intels. One must install the whole stack @ once. I had combined NUSB and MDGx USB 2.0 which led me to use the newer files. @ dencorso Another user on here had tested USBSTACK for me and he had a VIA southbridge. He was able to use the whole stack except for USBHUB20.SYS 5.00.2195.6891 Windows 2000 SP4, is the reason I added USBHUB20.SYS 4.90.3000.11 VIA Chipset. USBSTACK give users the choice to use the file that suits them. This was the only file that needed to be replace on VIA Chipset. Both options installs the same exact files with the exception of USBHUB20.SYS.

I use the latest which is USBPORT.SYS 5.00.2195.6941 Windows 2000 SP4 and don't have problems. Here is a full list, been running the files for years. http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/172833-old-computer-back-to-life/?p=1112369 This is as far a user gonna get using Win 2000/Xp files unless one updates Wdmstub. I have tested and tried all versions I could find.

You are correct. Main Updates/System Core Files installs the updated USB 1.1 for Win98. USBSTACK is a combination of Unofficial USB 2.0 from MDGx and Maximus Decim Native USB with a twist off updates from NT/XP. Its beautifully works wonders. I'm using the WinXP version on Win98 SE and this is my score after about a couple hundred games. Can you top it? Its d@mn near impossible to get Zero (0), but I'm sure it can be done. I only play in Expert Mode. It brings the most competition. Who want some?
