  1. Lots of people do that, just look at all the addons The only thing is of course you need to check the licensing/distribution terms. I recall that a software maker once changed their license to preclude things like addon conversions and many links had to be taken down.
  2. Holy crap! There is Oleg! Hope you are doing well. We were very worried about you and are glad to see you are OK.
  3. Glad to hear you are doing better. That looks/sounds like a rough time you went through. I went through a somewhat similar situation involving my spleen and gall bladder, but your situation seems much worse. Most of us probably can't truly fathom the ordeal. Just no more pics of your pubes, ok? My eyes!
  4. Well that was...anticlimactic
  5. Was this feature added? I would like to try this method out if the feature is implemented.FYI, the MSFN Unattended Guide recommends this format for the subfolders: Perhaps a link to this thread should be added to the webpage?
  6. I believe that this other topic is the best one to use. Since Tomcat76 changed some things this topic seems very outdated. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=72749
  7. Great link, thanks! My gf and I have recently discovered "puppy tennis." Its not as bad as it sounds! We go to a nearby tennis court that has a chain link fence all around it. We have odd days off, so we can go when nobody else is around and just let our beagle puppy run around. She (the beagle) chases the ball around and hunts various critters that invade the area. And we get extra exercise by chasing her to get the ball back when she steals it as well as trying to keep the ball away from her. Good times! Since my legs tend to bother me from sitting too much, this caught my eye: http://www.slimgeek.com/index.html but it looks very over-the-top, expensive and potentially bad for the back. So I was thinking something like these might do the trick: http://www.footsmart.com/C-Deluxe-Exercise...dalers-111.aspx Has anyone tried something like this?
  8. Are you saying that this was the attacker?
  9. Have you guys seen this? http://www.hrt.dis.titech.ac.jp/~sera/hfslip/howto.html I ran it through the fish: This person, Manabu Serata, doesn't seem familiar to me. If you are here, please say hi
  10. Thanks for your hard work on this, Tomcat76. You did a great job as usual and this is working fine for me now!
  11. Just FYI for those of you wondering "why is he using that old crap anyway?" I use TommyP's reducers to effectively nuke IE/OE. I do this because FDV does too good of a job and I can't use FDV+Oulook. But some stuff remains. So using those patches ensures that the leftovers are at the latest patch level, and then the extra stuff gets stripped out by HFCLEANUP.
  12. Had your hopes up, huh? Thought I was going to post "the map"?
  13. Try this: http://www.theledlight.com/technical1.html
  14. I ran into a problem with wmfdist.exe in HF. Never had this trouble before, and by looking at the code it seems that this may be because of the WMP10 changes. During GUI setup, I got this error: Which comes from line 168 in WMFSDK.inf in wmfdist.exe: [RunPost] """%11%\logagent.exe""" /RegServer So I made another run without HFAAO, HFCABS, HFEXPERT, HFSVPCPACK, HFSVCPACK_SW or HFCLEANUP and I still got the error. The file, logagent.exe, is in a reducer and that is reflected in the script. I got the same error with and without that reducer. In addition, on my test runs with HFCLEANUP taken completely out of the picture, I got a new error that I hadn't seen before: But adding HFCLEANUP back fixed that (part of the OE reducer).Back to the wmfdist problem, I also tried adding the cabbed file (logagent.ex_) to FIX but that didn't help. Also tried different Compression Types (A and C) as well as test release 6a and 8a but got the same results. The only fix for this for me is to remove wmfdist.exe. What am I doing wrong?
  15. It has only been two years since the last release I would post some release notes or a feature list but the author has the data spread out over three different pages. http://www.headbands.com/gspot/
  16. Would that override HFANSWER.INI settings? I don't think it should. Detecting is cool but if someone overrides with HFANSWER.INI then that is their own problem. That was what i was doing, and I have no excuse Also, I prefer Type C. If the HFCLEANUP detection took precedence over my HFANSWER.INI setting then there would be nothing I could do about it. (not really, but you get the idea)
  17. Ya, that is pretty good for a 56K modem. You won't actually reach 56K due to various technical and political limitations.
  18. @pS-: Your entries continue to be awesome. Great job!
  19. Unless you are running an IDS you probably can't tell how badly you were hacked. So you have two options: continue on and hope for the best (with patches, hardening, etc), or rebuild the server. The safest course of action is to backup your data and rebuild your server. If you have known-good backups from before you were hacked, that is even better. The choice is yours. Until then: Your site should be offline until this is resolved. Change your passwords. Check your logs to see if you can detect the intruder and method of attack. Save the data and pursue action against that person by contacting the ISP. Since your site is Joomla, you might want to check out their security forum where they have two topics that you will want to read:
  20. I'm not saying that your computer won't work without that entry. But my personal recommendation is to leave it in. localhost loopback is a fundamental networking component.
  21. You need it in there one time.
  22. You appear to be the only one with this issue (so far). Please explain the steps you take to get that error. You may want to try flushing your cookies and cache.
  23. Just a little tip for anyone making the same stupid mistakes as me... Do not use the following characters in your reducer filenames: ! # ; I was using ! to prefix a few reducers so that they stood out in the file list as a note to myself. That actually caused them to be ignored. Cheers!
  24. Why is the FDVFILES folder automatically created? That seems like a folder that an FDV user (we are apparently a minority these days) could/would create on their own.
  25. Ah, a very FDV-esque post! You are obviously doing just fine and are the same ol' FDV we know and, uhm...love? Doesn't the new Weird Al album have a "weasel stomping" song? Should be great fun on the weekends over at TommyP's Weasel Ranch!
