  1. You have to replace the PnPIDs as well. There should be a txtsetup.oem file with the VIA drivers. Maybe not in the winxp directory, most likely one directory up. Open it, and copy the lines for the XP drivers that start with PCI\VEN into the HardwareIDsDatabase.
  2. I've updated teh link in the first post to my version. It's all the same, just a few bugfixes. Now there aren't two MSIs wondering around to confuse peopel. Let me know if the errors are truly gone!! Inclufing the Uninstall one.

    XPlode 1.1+

So how's the move going from Closed to Open source?
  4. first allow me to tell you, and I quote Just alittle reminder for next time. As for the problem at hand, it may help to know what card, though i don't know. ALso, are the drivers you're trying to inlude Digitally Signed?
  5. I've never seen \\ in a REG command when refering to directories and spaces. Network drives yes, not spaces.. In any case, the original was flawed. There would be a " after READER if he looked in the registry along with /f
  6. not true.... he can make it so the file not found error is gone, but it won't boot. if PRO1.dat is in the AIO-DVD folder, and you have \PRO1.DAT in your INI file, it will work. If you wanted to be sure, copy PRO1.DAT to the root of the DRIVE you're working on. It should find the file then (don't move it from AIO-DVD, COPY!) and you'll get a different error. Like COmmand Unavailable or soemthing.
  7. MsDosInitiated="0" I believe should be MsDosInitiated="1" but not sure
  8. sorry for not sending mine.... I only use two, and they're the UltraATA Promise Drivers, and teh VIA RAID .220 drivers. BOth of which I believe you already have.
  9. try and make a theme file? Have it loaded via Winn.sif.
  10. umm..... I'm betting alot of those are the "Could not boot from CD...." messages or whatnot. I'll try a few experiments later on this.....and by later I mean most likely Friday or Saturday, as I have a banquet tonight (yes, nice good formal situation....) and then girlfriend Friday.
  11. is PRO1.DAT in BOOT or in AIO-DVD? Currently right now? If in BOOT, remove the / If in AIO-DVD, replace / with \
  12. I sometimes wonder whether people actually test their installs..... They use the program, happy with the results and continue. Good job goes to RyanVM and MarkyMoo for some major bug hunting. Come this weekend....I'll see about finding more....
  13. if you have the Wise Installer, try /S
  14. which is against the rules. No one replied most likely either because thye haven't seen it, or they don't know.
  15. they're in the VERY first post. The switches are the same.
  16. you could just unhide them. Also, you need the path in your Transforms path for Office as well. And Administrator might be spelled differently for your language version of windows. If it it, change it.
  17. QCHAIN.EXE is causing it. Run it a normal Windows environment, and go to the folder you enter, there is the proper QCHAIN.EXE
  18. not always. Also, as a word of advice, don't use WinISO. If this were in the MultiBoot section, I'd say you hexed it wrong. Only thing I can think of is maybe you use the Reduce Source. You could try download the "CDIMAGE for Windows Professional" from the website. Run the file batch and see if it works.
  19. Yes, but it's for English versions only I think. And it's in the "Threads of Interest"
  20. ummm... Windows XP Embedded is another version of XP. Like Professional and Home. It's just another variation, primarily used in PalmPC's and other small electronics, like ATMs.
  21. It's probally because if you read it, it's for Windows XP Embedded. Do you have Windows XP Embedded?
  22. just a question, you install the driver's from CD. While not the applications as well? The only reason i can see for teh $OEM$ folder is to copy files over. You could have one file in each $OEM$ folder like a batch file that would normally be called, but have it search for the CD, then everything would be in a base "OEM" folder with all yoru apps in it. If it's really just programs to be installed, then would might be simpler and cleaner.
  23. You only need this part... PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1229 Also, it won't work if you're testing in a virtual machine.
  24. if the folders did contain EXACTLY the same files, you could just use CDIMAGE so that the files are only written once, but appear in all the folder's they're supposed to.....
