  1. Please don't use All caps.....
  2. you'd have to import the settings into the session manager via Registry tweaks. SETX may prove to be helpful as well.
  3. import a RunOnceEX setting via GuiRunOnce
  4. haha. Everyone just wants their own forums now..... nLite would have caused alittle conflict if it stayed in the Unattended forum, as people woud say that something was wrong with their setup when they used nLite and it was something caused by it. If something goes wrong with the Office isntallation, it's that you used Office Shrink or you're just plain doing it wrong.
  5. Mark other one up for 2 minutes using the search button. Atleast for teh startmenu settigns. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...8365&hl=browser
  6. quotes will work, if it was Xname="Some User" but "winamp.msi Xname=Some User" won't as, the MSI installer thinks USER is another parameter. But then problem arises that is might input the " as part of the string in Xname instead of Some User, which might cause problems (I'm thinking logically here, as I haven't actually tested it, but it's a forseeable error. yes..... it's msiexec.exe /i %systemdrive%\path_to\winamp\winamp.msi msiexec.exe is in the Windows\System32 directory I believe, and it's already set in PATH, so no path is needed.
  7. I believe they're are only perhaps 8-10 sticky's in the Unattended forums? exlcuding the XPlode,nLite, and XPCreate forums. Someone just got lazy
  8. OEMPreInstall=YES is missing in Winnt.sif Or you could have two entries of it, one with YES and another NO. unattended.msfn.org
  9. do you happen to have a link to the file? I don't ahve it anymore, so I can't really help. Topic Moved
  10. search before hand. I know this one off the top of my head. it's QCHAIN.EXE Run it in a normal windows environment, it will give you the prompt. Tell it a folder you know where it is, go to it afterwards, and there is the REAL QCHAIN.EXE. Replace the original
  11. it takes me a mere 10-12 minutes to make an ISO. I use CDIMAGE to make it, and it doesn't take nearly as long. If it's just a W2k disk without any sort of menu, you should have just used the original bootsector (it's in teh XPCREATE folder, its the same for XP) and just use CDIMAGE. Set the bootsector as the bootsector, and execute and you have a perfectly bootable disk. http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/finish.htm
  12. unattended.msfn.org that's a first place to start. Just skip on over to the Drivers page. That should tell you pretty much all you want to know. Edit:: Direct Link: http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/drivers.htm
  13. perhaps we could colaborate..... add the information you have in Dutch, to the english side..... and make the English one more......technical? I didn't have time this weekend to mess with the site, but I should have time later on..... did anyone notice, that almost all the sites created credit flyakite, and say they're translations Some just add some stuff. EDIT: One thing I've always wondered, have you encountered any problems with using -n? It allows long filenames, but do you run into any problems about exceeding 8 paths, and non ISO filenames? I've had the ASMS error quite a few times, and i think it's because I use -j1 and it can't decided which to use, perhaps -n will fix it?
  14. well, the old one needs to be removed before you install the one on the first post. I changed the codes that package uses to recognizes itself. What errors did you get? Instead of just saying you got, do say what error, as I haven't recieved an error besides the Username thing.
  15. the /qb or /qn makes it a silent install. The purpose of this MSI is to provide the functionality to let you select the components via commandline, as the original can only install EVERYTHING even if you don't want say video support. I should point out, there is a SLIGHT bug with the registration, that atleast I have noticed.... there can't be a space in the User Name, which really sucks as most people use first and last name..... I'm working on a fix. Until then, you could just use a REG file right after or even before Winamp installation.
  16. If you get the official download from the Winzip website, the files it extacts are the actual files. They are not moved during installation. They are just extracted to where you want Winzip to be. The program that "installs" later is actually the setup calling winzip32.exe's config wizard
  17. i personally like how when people actually do search, they don't do a manual search of the sticky's. Atlest you search
  18. please don't make a post like your second one, especially less then an hour later, just because you want a reply.
  19. by how many? do you want actual or virtual? virtual I've gotten over 1.4 gigs...... actual... I've gotten about 800 on some brands
  20. That be breakin the rules there, yes it is.
  21. as XPCREATE doesn't slipstream the Chipset drivers,.... FILESCD\$OEM$\$1\001_Intell would be my guess, as all XPCREATE does it copy it over to the new root. You can call 001_Intell anything you want.
  22. but.... didn't the man also create a BCDW module for CDShell?
  23. hey now.... you're not as sarcastic yet.... But I've found it quite command for people with less then 30 posts to ask somehting before searching....
  24. you want it to be silent? you forget the /qb or /qn at the end.
