None...There is one.The WUPG98 is from me. The Auto-Patcher is a "clone" from somebody else. ? "Clone" ?AutoPatcher (I had thought) was an Original project, just like UBCD98SE (soporific for both). I was a part of both projects. It took great effort to construct all of the BAT files to implement it/them. ?"Clone"? Which came first, the chicken or the egg? Not to denigrate WUPG98, but... "CLONE"??? (I beg your pardon... please correct me if I'm wrong.)

OK, now using nLite and the key, slip just the Full SP3 (approx. 324 MegaBytes) into the SP1 CD, create the ISO, and retest. You should have a fully (if done properly) unattended SP3 install without entering a key (etc.). If so, re-run exactly the same way (again from the SP1 CD, not the Slipped copy) but include any/all Hotfixes and any Add-Ons you wish to include in addition to the SP3. The Key - valid, I hope - DON'T ACTIVATE WITH IT YET if it's not a VLK or you reduce the number of activations. The only other possible way is if you use the OEM-specific files and key (for your OEM pc) for "pre-activation" (another topic/thread irrelevant to this topic/thread).

Requesting Windows 95 Updates, Tools, etc.
submix8c replied to LoneCrusader's topic in Windows 9x/ME
Mmmm, I have odds-n-ends but they're disorganized and are for any/all Win95 versions. When I get a chance, I'll try to organize and list them. -
Stubborn XP users could be good for 95/98/ME longevity?
submix8c replied to AlteredAaron's topic in Windows 9x/ME
Fortunately for some folks, Server 2003 SP2 isn't going away in 2014 (including R2 SP2).Heck I'll hang onto my rig to the bitter end, unless I become Fabulously Wealthy and then I might upgrade... Side note - Kel is kinda right, though. Even some Gamers like the biggest-baddest hardware and OS available (read wealthy or bored). A few tend to get/buy those games that require heavy-duty s**t, especially those online gamers (I know one, was a "tester") that just have the "need for speed". Although... don't you have to have an ISP that provides super-high speeds? (Which is faster, the ISP or the HW/SW? Inquiring minds want to know) Side note 2 - Gawd! Please don't let this be another "flame-fest"! I hate that krap! -
The "box" says "EVGA eGeForce 6200 LE". EVGA doesn't provide drivers for 9x/ME apparently, but nVidia says that's the right one... 11.7mb

Confirmed... Office 2007 ->Review->Tracking->Track Changes->(more options) edit - Although I don't see the "Formatted" message this way... How to do that? Just installed (to test/review) O2K7 recently, so it's a new ball game for me... Err, don't bother with answer... I'll figger it out....

"SERIAL.TXT"?????? Ahem... bogus...

Hmmm. Assuming that Office 2007 is very similar to Office 2010, I can surmise that you have inadvertently set this in the Bar at the top. Just click on the B(old) and/or U(nderscore) and/or A(utomatic Theme Colors) and reset them. There's also a Qiock Styles and Change Styles in 2K7 (does the same thing except in one-click).

Confused (still, after seeing this topic before it came to this)...WGA=Window Genuine Advantage - you went to MS Update and no probs except the "Step Up to Microsoft Update" msg MGA=Microsoft Genuine Advantage - this is for, e.g., Microsoft Office to allow for updates to Other Than Windows. You are not required to use WGA or MGA but will still get critical updates via Automatic Updates, which will include the "nag" MGA Notification Update "Star Icon" on your Taskbar if your Windows is not Genuine. So... What's the problem? (appears that -X- has stated briefly what I'm stating...)

The latest version in the archive (flashplayer9r260_win_sa.exe 11/17/2009)... archive is 258mb, so be forewarned... edit - I'm wrong - look for the "9.0.280 and higher" - has the highest (archive is 22mb) (flashplayer9r280_win_sa.exe 07/30/2010) edit2 - DUH! herbalist is apparently a lot smarter at finding stuff than some of the rest of us... just had to click on the right stuff... (double-duh!!!)

Office 2000/XP/2003/2007 Slipstreamer - version 1.7.4
submix8c replied to mara-'s topic in Microsoft Office
The "slipstream" method for both Office 2007 and Office 2010 involves simply copying the contents of the CD (all of it) to a predefined folder, extracting all MSP files to the "Updates" folder (it's within the copied CD folder), and re-burning. This is the method currently used by the SlipStreamer for Office 2007. There is no "direct integration" option as this capability has been removed by MS (so far...).Here (right on the first page) is the explanation of Office 2007. Office 2010 has not been added and, if added, would undoubtedly work the same. HTH p.s. Only the MSP's are necessary; all other files are ignored. In addition, they are installed in order by FileName. Just run (from a CMD window) one with "/?' to get the extract command. It appears that some fixes don't contain MSP files and may need "chained" (not sure how yet...). -
What's the difference... <-click on that Just set your router up and... RTFM! Is the Router capable of interfacing with your ISP Wireless Modem (assuming that's what you mean)? Heck, you didn't even say what model TPLINK Router or ISP Modem, so who knows?

vinifera, I think the answer is yes, but you need to discover the silent switches. DL the installers for the ones you want and run them in a command prompt with a /? switch. They should list the available switches. If the installer is a .msi file, then open a command prompt and enter msiexec.exe, a window will open with all the available switches. Enjoy, John.I won't swear to this (not being a swearing person...) but I believe that those have an "installer within an installer". IOW, you have to "unpack" at least once. You might want to check on that (been a while).

Win95 MSBATCH.INF Parameters Win98 MSBATCH.INF Parameters Mine is attached (from my UBCD with some notes embedded). Observe the "rules" in particular in the "Install" and OPKInstall" sections. You're "missing" some items that are preventing "Unattended". Yes, it does work (as an OEM install). Glad you got your drivers to install. HTH MSBATCH.TXT edit - Product Keys and PID "overwritten" with explanatory notes (re - Unattended). edit2 - LoneCrusader's note on "different reaction based on CD-type very well could have an effect. Not sure about this, but I think my Retail one reacted the same... Many times the OEM would use a Retail and just "over-write" some files before imaging.

I update occasionally, but not "directly". First, go to the Update website, choose "Custom", let it find them, save the list, go back and choose the catalog (or MSdotCOM and search by KB), find them, download them, install them, offload the downloaded elsewhere. Everyone is aware allowing Update to download and install keeps both the "downloaded" and the "uninstall" portions, right? (approx. 2x the space occupied per Update). Maybe I'm missing the boat and am wrong... Not updating is just begging for trouble. If a burglar has a way to get into your house by bypassing your alarm system, better see if there is a fix to prevent it... Firewalls don't always stop attackers and good A-V software helps (but not always). I have both (and within the router inbound) in addition to the occasional "patching". Better safe than sorry... P.S. (ever hear of "drive-by's"?)

Well I'll be flippered! I did something right for a change! Glad ya found your bug! Congrats on the fix!(this post allows reminder of your "fix" module as well, so not a "wasted post"...)

Is this, by chance the exact message? Page 211...And here's why there's a difference in how the parsing is handling this. HDA - [AzaliaManufacturerID] "Realtek Content Creation Bay" = IntcAzAudModel, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0882&SUBSYS_10EC8888 "Realtek High Definition Audio" = IntcAzAudModel, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10ECHDX - [AzaliaManufacturerID.NTamd64] "Realtek High Definition Audio" = IntcAzAudModel, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10ECNotice the "DEV" and "SUBSYS" in the first one? That constitutes a "good" PnP-ID, otherwise INFINST will not recognize it since it's incomplete. 9x doesn't recognize the format . You should do a google on INF formats and what's necessary for a PnP Device ("DEV" part). You're probably beating a dead horse, kicking O'le Blue, etc. etc... But just for giggles, you could attempt to install the XP-x86 onto your Win98 (in a VM or separate partition, natch) to see if it works. Still, doubt it. If it works, well then WOOHOO!!!! Please do report success/failure...

Errr, already seen similar ones in "audio_5211_whql.zip". The HDA are strictly for 2K/XP/2K3 and HDX are strictly for Vista/Win7. Sorry... and haven't seen any reference yet to utilize HD Audio in 9x; probably no useable drivers since the technology came afterwards. edit - maybe this will clarify the differences.

FWIW, CCleaner has an option to "clean" additional files/folders. I have mine set to delete the contents of my TEMP folder (under XP).
