  1. Ok, so far I have merged the Rpcss and the trueimage settings inrto the registry and registered their respective .ddl's but still nothing, same error as posted above. I can't seem to figure out what TI uses to scan the hard drives with. I am still looking into that one.
  2. I have a large start on this with dumping files from the registry, damned inf's. Get ahold of me if you like. Ok EDIT: I attached the .reg file i ripped by looking at the .inf for hours. TRUEImageREG.txt
  3. Ok I have gotten past the first set of errors with this program, but it is dependent on an RPC service I believe it is rpcrt4.dll anyone else got any ideas?
  4. I don't use BartPe I use Microsoft so no I don't use the .inf's I do it all myself. **Removed, dumb question** And that was my glaring question did I have to use TIserver because I was trying with Just TI8. thanks for that.
  5. Another option to this is PEShutdown.exe, use google to find it, then write a script that will call it. It also has a reboot switch to which is useful, for example when I install windows, I do it from a script with the "START /wait" command, then the next line in the batch will not execute until the preceeding line is complete. Just a suggestion.
  6. Here is the error i get, from trueimage 8 and also my reg entry: I also have made sure that the files are in the locations specified, any ideas?
  7. Here is the latest edition of my disc, it's Windows PE 2004 with Nu2menu and geoshell. *posted frrom K-meleon in winpe*
  8. Thanks for clearing up my brain fart.
  9. Right it does but, he is thinking of having the fat16 filesystem on his USB stick, and from what i gathered, I could be wrong since I never used it, but using fat16 as a FS and trying to access NTFS doesn't work. So in turn if he ran NTFS for Dos in theory he should be able to access NTFS from a FAT16 FS. Just a thought as I said before I have never used NTFS for Dos nor WinPE on a FAT16 FS. So anyone who has is more than welcome to sort this out.
  10. I have not tried it yet but could someone who speaks french translate this, it would be very useful. Also there is not a readme in the files and they do seem to be confusing.
  11. I have attached a directory printout of the files and where they are supposed to be loacted in the PE build. It will be tedious but if you have all these files in each of these dir's then you should be able to run anything(HTA, VBS, ADO etc) neededfiles.txt
  12. in your i386\system32 dir is the file mshta.exe in there?
  13. Thanks for that information!
  14. sure man post it up....
  15. Just look in the OPK.chm or the Winpe.chm depending on version. It is well documented
  16. search in this sub-forum and you will find better instructions. Tested and true... http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=191234
  17. Has anyone used NTFS for DOS from winPE on FAT16? This might work, you would need to add DOS support to WinPE though. There is a post 911CD.net that tells how to do it. Just a thought.
  18. Ok, The frst part of your question is easy the second is confusing care to expand on wht you are really looking for, as Domain Roots are not supported in WinPE. But other than that all of the settings needed to access a domain are easily integrated. HTH
  19. Here is the link for now, I will post the whole thing here later. guide
  20. As we have come to find out Windows PE 2004 has a newer addition to it called winpeshl.exe in the system32 folder, this program is set in the registry to run if a file called winpeshl.ini is defined in the windows system32 folder, to create this just open notepad and insert something like this: If you do not use winpeshl.ini you will not have the extra resources everyone is talking about in WinPE 2004. On a sidenote this file is also included in the Longhorn 4029+ distrobutions, pretty much any distrobutions that use winpe as the installer. If you use my guide you will find out how to get winpe from LH. HTH
  21. Contact your TAM, I know a few people had to do this to get ahold of it.
  22. Yes you will be able to access your USB HD, and most of the time at 2.0 speed as well. I do it all the time at work. Now as for the software who knows, you will have to try and see.
  23. This is some well needed info, I have seen this information raised before. Congrats!
  24. You might have to get ahold of your TAM.
  25. Well I will post a new PE screen I guess it has been a while. Now I switched to WinPE 2004 (AKA 1.5) and the Nu2menu, black box was being horribly difficult with VBS scripting for some reason.
