  1. Wrong attachment! Try downloading the drivers thru windows catalog! Thats how I did for the 10051 drivers the time I had my nf7-s
  2. Will you just cut it out with DFI crap! Mod or no Mod! I just about had it with this DFI fanboy crap!
  3. It makes no **** difference if you use a sata hdd or a pata hdd. The throughput is just about the same on both of them ATM.
  4. Instead of bitching, why don't you search it yourself and post it here and we will tell you if its good or not!
  5. The Fortron or the OCZ should be able to handle your requirements easily. I used to have 6 sata drives, 2 dvd-writers, an opteron 146, about 6 fans and a 7800gt powered with a single 500W Ultra X-connect PSU till I decided to add 3 more drives to my system and thereby upgrade to a dual PSU system.
  6. Get this then - Fortron Blue Storm 500W http://store.yahoo.com/directron/psax500a.html
  7. Stick with the Nvidia drivers.
  8. One word " Google"!
  9. Use ISO Buster to extract the boot image from the image file. Secondly why .bin file when Microsoft only uses ISO images for downloads??
  10. This info is present in dosnet.inf and layout.inf in the I386 directory.
  11. omepnpdriverspath is for the gui mode. You need to modify txtsetup.sif if you are including any third party mass storage/raid controllers through unattended setup.
  12. Right now I am using 16k chunk size/16k stripe size for my windows . I have tried 16k/4k, 32k/32k, and also 64k/64k for my windows but I have come back to 16k/16k since I have found this to have the best performance. When I work with large video files I have them on a seperate raid 128k/128k partition.
  13. It doesn't get any simpler than the guides posted over here or at greenmachine's. If you can't understand these then search the forums for additional posts/threads by other members. If you still can't understand then hate to say it but slipstreaming drivers is something you should not be doing.
  14. I got the opty 146 CABYE 0540XXXX and I am running mine at 3.1 ghz. Not sure about your model though. You might prolly wanna check over here. They usually have good topics going on diff AMD steppings and the max O/C for them. From what I have seen over there the CACJE's aren't that impressive and clockable as compared to the CABNE and CABYE steppings.
  15. 16k/16k for benchmarks and regular day to day use. 64k/64k and 128k/128k for video editing and anything involving large files.

  17. shell32.dll is frequently updated with hotfixes!!!
  18. ****! Now i gotta keep a lookout for S.M.C. on my hdd's!!
  19. Did you try changing it to another power outlet?
  20. Firstly, Tigerdirect sucks! ECS sucks even more.
  21. Yeps, most definitely get an opteron. Got myself an opteron 146 @ 2ghz this week. Its currently running @ 2.8 ghz at stock voltages right now. Gonna let it burn in for a couple of more days till I start cranking up the volts and see how much I can get out of this baby. Hoping for at least a 3.1 ghz o/c on this one. BTW this is all on air cooling!
  22. Tom's Hardware said that majority of these monitors tested out to perform at 30 ms response times. Is this true? You actually believe those a$$e$ at Tom's Hardware???
  23. First, LCD's dont have refresh rate. Its the repsonse time. Most of the new LCD's with less than 10ms are excellent for gaming. And since you are really into gaming and if you don't wanna shell out a lot of cash then you should get the dell 2005fpw. With a 8ms repsonse time and also wide screen, gaming will kick a$$ on this monitor. Wait for dell deals and you might be able to pick up this beauty for less than 400 bucks shipped.
  24. CRTs are still preferred for graphical applications such as gaming, video editing or photo-related work because they display a more 'true' color and isn't prone to problems that LCD screens have with moving graphics such as ghosting, tearing and bleeding colors. Not necessarily. I just picked up a Dell 2405FPW and it's absolutely top notch performance from this beast. No ghosting or tearing and playing games on WS is really something. I dont even have to comment on video quality as I have been introduced to a completely different way of watching movies with this LCD.
  25. Is there any particular reason why you are going for CRT's and not LCD's???
