Try deleting the upper level and lower level filters in the registry and then rebooting. If you are not sure where to get these filters in the registry just do a simple google search for them.

The HDA X-mystique is one of the two PCI cards that support true Dolby Digital Live 5.1 The Audigy doesn't even come close to it. If the multiplier is ignored in the BIOS, it is locked. PERIOD!! No, You can't unlock any of the multipliers. It will always be @ 11. Anything else will be ignored. If the FSB is set to 200 you cpu will run @ 200*11 = 2.2ghz or equivalent of XP 3200+. My CPU is a XP Mobile. All mobile CPU's are unlocked. My mobo supports 270 because my mobo is one of the first batch of NF7-S Rev 2. Its an excellent overclocker and I have actually managed to get mine all the way to 280 but it was unstable. Additionally I have also done some voltage mods to my mobo so I can provide more voltage to the chipset and the RAM. My RAM is good ol' BH5 ram that can be basically overclocked to hell with high voltage.

Your CPU is locked! The only way to overclock is to increase the FSB.

Based on whatever you have posted, all the symptoms basically point out to either a bad PSU or faulty memory. Use memtest to check the memory and it that comes out ok then it is the PSU!!! I have seen and worked on these kind of problems too many times and it has to be either one of the above!

It all depends on the type of CPU you have! Is it a T'bred A, T'bred B, Barton, Mobile? The mobiles are the best overclockers. I have a XP2600+ mobile running on my Abit NF7-S Rev 2.0 (wife's machine) 24/7 @ 270*10.5 = 2.83Ghz. But then you need to have memory that can match that high FSB and also cooling to tame all the heat being generated.

I'd say that cpu was more used with phase change cooling than with watercooling. That would prolly explain the white gooey on the pins. Its usually put on the on the socket to prevent condensation. I usually fill up a small cup with 91% isopropyl and keep the cpu dipped in there for some time and clean up the white stuff with a cotton bud!

I sure dont know what kind of search you are doing, but a search either with the built-in google function or the forums search bring up what you need!

Never even heard about the PSU. So surely cannot comment on the quality of that one. What are the railings on the 12V line for the PSU? Anything less than 26-30A on the 12V line is basically a s***ty PSU!!

Seen that before. Its an Installshield based MSI package. You will probably need Adminstudio to remove the bootstrap from the installshield exe package and repackage the product as a standalone MSI.

Did you even read some of the replies posted in this thread?? Almost every alternate reply tells you to the use the /S switch to install this app!!!!

Use the search function!!!! It is included in the application switches sticky!!!
