I have created UAXPCD with ryan pack but my desktop icon shadows are lost.. i haven't used any tweaks in the process of installation nither nlite Later seeing advance option i discovered that these settings choices were unchecked: how could this be possible how can i change this backgroung: yellowish, orange,,, which file is responsible for this blue backgroung for scandisk
  2. Thanks a lot,, Now i have planned to remove all the 128, 96, 72, 64 icons of shell32.dll but manually it will take AGE,,, is there any program which can just keep 16 24 32 48 (XP) and remove all other formats of all the selected icons in a batch...
  3. my shell32 contains icons ranging 16 to 128 (16 color to true color) but i wonder,, where does my 128 and 96 icons are applicable.. in windows XP is there any program that can delete 128 and 96 icons from the icon in batch of all the icons i got ?
  4. does this mean,, bigger the shell32.dll, slower the system performance ?
  5. For my UAXP i have manually modified my shell32.dll with high res icons, bitmaps and avi the final size of my shell32.dll is 45 MB and compressed is 13 MB (shell32.dl_) will this cause any problem in my system (memory , hang, crash, incompactability, ) i am just wondering,,, any suggestion and comment is appreciated .. Edited: targeted system: 256 MB DDR RAM 1.8 GHZ (intel/Celeron) 32 MB Graphic
  6. This may work,, Tested,, worked like a charm
  7. I cannot point this to a particular drive,, thats my problem,, coz i may setup my windows unattendly on C:\ to Z:\
  8. here goes mine :: Clean Dirty:: Edited: Added Dirty
  9. is this Devove mananger or device manager i got confused.... :S Coz i didn't find the search...
  10. ,, yeah ,, my UAXP is also based on ryanvm pack and i am also using that registry SAME problem Now i have to disable that registry key... the problem might with ryan pack (but not sure)
  11. i have been making multiboot CD without no problem since a year,, yesterday i made a multiboot CD (ryanvm 2.04 and integrator 1.2.2) my boot folder is ROOT and setup folder is in \setup\xp\pro\i386 i edited all the files as i used to do before, now when ever i setup it ask for eula,, Ie unattended isn't working but later again place the same folder as default,, i386 + all needed files and folders no boot folder (like original CD) but the same i386 goes here unattended,,,,
  12. the image should be in bitmap format Open ur shell32.dll with the help of resourcehacker then just replace the windows flag with ur custom bitmap. For installation CD makecab shell32.dll this will create shell32.dl_,, replace ur shell32.dl_ of ur CD source with this newly created shell32.dl_
  13. i have made a multiboot CD of windows XP my folder structure: rootfiles >> win51, setup.htm, win51ip, win51ip.SP2 boot >> my boot folder in CD ( setup\xp\pro\i386 >>root folder for setup This multi boot is based on gosh method.... nw i got txtsetup.sif in both boot and setup\xp\pro\i386 folder but the modification is only done in txtsetup.sif of boot folder to point out the root folder (ie setupsource) so can i delete the txtsetup.sif file from setup\xp\pro\i386 lly, winnt.sif, setupldr what will be te effect,,,
  14. A simple batch script did a great job programmed to run in guirunonce Note: myui.exe is my custom made bootscreen which was already placed in system32 directory (but this is only done after installation, but not actual integration)
  15. This method is just based on ryan,, i am using ryanvm integrator 1.1 only to this all,, only the thing is i replaced my own files,, so how can u say such thing.... before posting, i request you to read what the post is actually for ...... And what does this mean He has already told me to do the thing if u have gone through the previous post.. (replacing by custom way and by making a addon pack) About ur trick,, it has been already been posted,, so why are posting again to make the post longer ? Again i request,, Plz read the Post before you reply
  16. I did it ,, but bit tricky,, how i did ? i modified all necessary file ntkrnlmp.ex_ ntkrnlpa.exe ntkrpamp.exe ntoskrnl.ex_ and placed in one folder (assum: edited) now i ran ryanvm integrator 1.1 while ryanvm integrator was performing its procedue up to i copied my edited files and replaced the file of xpsource\i386\rvmtemp\extracted Rest thing was done by intregator 1.1 itself (created driver.cab with all my edited files,,, voila !@!!!
  17. coz sometimes,, i use shellpacks,,(gant, brico, kids, vista) shell packs has its own bootscreens,, due to this method,, it is unable to change the bootscreen on the fly coz shellpack are programmed to change the original files later we have to manually edit the strings of boot.ini to view the changed bootscreen (this is really annoying for me) what i wan't is ,, the computer always act on its default.. ie i want my boot.ini to act on default
  18. Regarding changing the bootscreen from boot.ini i have been using this script,, in my install.cmd the main thing is i wan't my boot.ini untouched currently i am working on addon pack as told by ryan
  19. This is my first post The last line Note: i want it to integrate,, i don't wan't the method of replacing strings in boot.ini Coz i wan't my bootscreen untouched.... i think ryan idea is the best (to create custom addon pack)
  20. its not related with editing boot.ini,, its regarding integration of ntoskrnl.exe
  21. backup ur preactivated wpa.dbl the replace ur newly setup XP with this file
  22. will this work, *********** Folder structure $oem$\$$\system32\myui.exe $OEM$\$1\install\run.cmd WFP disabled permanently dllcache is empty $OEM$\$1\install\run.cmd Will this be able to change the ntoskrnl.exe permanently without any hassel.
  23. why don't u extract ur icon packager registry and import silently during setup of ur UAXP.
  24. thanks ryan well,, my UAXP is based on ryanvm pack with manual integration ,, but how to compress back the files of driver.cab which is decompressed to a driver folder just to modify/delete some files(eg ntoskrnl) if there is not easy way,, then i must choose this method, deleting the file from driver.cab,, but how ?
  25. i will give it a shot tonight
