  2. I'm guessing it's an OEM (like from Dell) CD and you didn't bother to mention that. In that case, delete the svcpack folder and svcpack.inf and you should be able to integrate SP2 just fine.
  3. No it doesn't
  4. Running the exe with the /? switch should give you the info you need.
  5. You sure you're on the correct screen? You wouldn't be the first to make that mistake...
  6. Just extract the MSI and use the standard MSI switches.
  7. What hotfixes are you trying to import in nLite that aren't in my pack?
  8. If it's a Windows Script error, my inclinition would be that the VBS file is being executed and failing. Moreso, kbdhid.sys isn't a file which is unique to Logitech. It's a driver file that comes with Windows. To further make the point, I have an MS Natural Keyboard Pro and I have that file in my drivers directory. Therefore, that line is likely to execute on all systems, not just ones with Logitech keyboards, meaning the VBS file is being called on all systems as well.
  9. You're wrong. MS does charge a replacement fee for lost media. And if you look at what Alanoll said, he isn't disagreeing with me. msfn11 is plain wrong. Hate to break it to you, but the belief that MS would replace the CD for free is rooted in fantasy land, not reality. Heck, you can call them yourself and see.

    SP1.cab

txtsetup.sif doesn't even contain entries for sp1.cab after SP2 is slipstreamed into the install source. I'll let that do the talking for itself.
  11. www.willsdownloads.com Or just integrate my update pack into your XP install CD. And I can say from MUCH personal experience that MS will send you a hotfix without even flinching if you'll simply take the time to ask. I've emailed them simply saying "Please send me the KBxxxxxx hotfix" with no other explanation and they've done it. Don't be a wuss and just ask MS for it.
  12. QChain isn't needed for post-SP2 fixes. That functionality is built into the hotfix installers. I've actually done a repair install with a CD with my update pack integrated over a normal XP install, and it actually worked OK. My stuff shouldn't have any effect on Security Center. My bet is something else is causing that.
  13. It might help if you said what the error was...
  14. My stuff's not designed for the application you want, sdaviswnec. Your best bet is probably just a batch script which runs sp2.exe followed by any other hotfix EXEs you want and then restarts.
  15. Nice thread. I'll be linking to it from my forums.
  16. Let me guess - you removed duplicate files which existed in both driver.cab and i386 from driver.cab when you ran nLite.
  17. Wrong, there will be a charge to replace the CD. Umm, no. All integrated SP2 will do is add sp2.cab to i386. It won't touch driver.cab.
  18. Mudvayne's new CD is also very good. Makes good music to work to
  19. You just answered your own question. It should be assumed that questions in this forum are related to unattended setups. If they aren't, then the question should have been posted elsewhere.
  20. Codecs and browser plugins are two very different things...
  21. *might* nothing, it will NOT work, period.
  22. I strongly doubt it matters
  23. Umm...the files in those three hotfixes supercede the ones from 885835?
  24. I've had that problem in the past, but it just kind of went away on its own Setting DriverSigningPolicy to Ignore in winnt.sif would be a cheap workaround, but it should work in the meantime.
