  1. You can remove those two files assuming you're installing on Windows XP
  2. It'd be nice if you'd post those lists on your site too, Bashrat. That way someone doesn't have to use the bandwidth to download an entire driver pack when all they want to see is a tiny HTML file
  3. Did you edit syssetup.inf and/or layout.inf by chance?
  4. Diskeeper 9 Symantec AntiVirus 9 Java2 Runtime Environment 5 Update 2 .NET Framework 1.1 J# .NET Framework 1.1 Adobe Reader 7.0.1
  5. Look at the actual files contained within. It's the same
  6. Build 2182 is still the most recent version. WU6 is in beta right now, though
  7. well, it leaves it open for you to change to your liking
  8. drvindex.inf is most definitely NOT digitally signed.
  9. OK, here you go. This is the same base SFX module I use for my switchless installers. It's got the % complete on the right side of the title (which I think looks better) and only has the extraction progress meter with no cancel button. I compiled it myself with MSVC++ 2003. 7zS.zip
  10. Well, at least you figured out your problem on your own
  11. Is anybody interested in using the custom 7zS.sfx I made which puts the % complete on the right side of the title bar? I'll post it if there's interest.
  12. ...so did that fix it then?
  13. You need to modify the files. Only Server2K3 normally supports software RAID5. That being said, I don't think you'll be able to build a RAID array during XP Setup and am not sure how it would handle an existing array.
  14. You didn't look hard enough I'm afraid: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/...ide/silent.html
  15. Probably. I'm up to 105 (non-obsolete).
  16. yeah, that was my bet too. I bet if you tracert it, you'll see it hanging before it gets to their servers
  17. Sadly, I personally use batch files still to install my apps. I've been meaning to get with the times and use something like XPlode, but sadly my time has been focused on other projects But going back to the matter of staying up to date, I personally don't see it as really that big of a deal. Most programs maintain the same switches between updates, so it's nothing more complex than changing the exe and maybe updating the information with the newer version number. I also maintain copies of my $OEM$ and Updates folder on my hard drive, so building a new CD only requires me to copy winnt.sif back into i386 and to copy the folders into the root CD directory. I think a mistake some people make is making all their changes within the CD itself, which I can imagine would make things more difficult to fix if things get broken. I do all work outside the CD directory then copy the files/folders in afterwards. It allows for much faster rebuilding of a CD.
  18. I started using it when I moved to the new server, though I was planning on putting it on my site one way or another.
  19. I can connect to whatcounter.com just fine. Weird that you're having issues.
  20. Yes, the links are correct and you're the only person to report having problems. According to whatcounter (a great download stats logger), I've had 340 switchless installer downloads in the few days my site's been on the MSFN servers. BTW, it's the same stats logging that nuhi uses for nLite. My plan is to have all downloads on my site being counted by whatcounter with the release the next update pack. Also, there's a thing called the Edit button
  21. @ buletov - huh? @ cybpsych - First, the 6.0.3 exe is the same as it's always been. Second, have you installed the Root Certificates Update? The easiest way to find out what the problem is would be to extract the archive with 7zip or WinRAR and manually double click the MSI and see where/why it errors out. Anyway, I've run into issues in the past where not having the Root Certificates Update installed was causing issues for some of the newer MSI-based installers.
  22. , I decided to take a break from adding hotfixes to check this thread. I'm down to 12 now, then I'll be caught up again (for a day ). The next release should easily break the 100 hotfix barrier. EDIT: And for the record, I've already added 16 today . This has been a nice productive day between getting a bunch of hotfixes added and getting an Adobe Reader 7.0.1 installer up.
