i to run virpc sp1 and its is more stable than vmware yet my vmware networks better maybe virpc sp2 will adress that.

Im no longer a nlite vigrin after making my first unattented it worked great.So i installed it and it performance well .pretty close to 98se but no bloat i think i got it down to 269mb keeping media player and luna themes.Since your better off with xp use fat 32 and nlite it check out forums in here...

i installed xphome on a P1 166mhz when it first come out 64 ram and it worked but **** slow but none of my friends believed a P1 could run xp back then it was new and the hpye said p3 5000ram etc.lol

i read that forum and your right 98se is faster because of the xp hal thing and of course size different in oses 300mb-98se 1.5gig-xp. i wonder how fast eiger the new lean xp comming out later this year will be?

eiger is a new lean stripped down version of xp designed to run on older pcs with older hardware .

i like flashget 1.50 with a banner remover myself it never lost a file and its been steady thru out i use to use getright and dap but i settled on flashget as far as spyware goes i get none yet most spyware programs find the cache dll as one wierd.

B) Now that weve been presented with sp2.1 98se2me revolutions etc and array of excellent tweaks 98se is now the os it should of been 6yrs ago .whats left outside of updating dlls from newer versions is there anywhere else to go with 98se have we conquer it finally or maybe theres a few tricks left to perfect ?let me hear your views on this?

Bridged networking is where u use the host os networking to connect to the net in other words u go online on xp and then power up vmware and hit explore and go online .

wowzers thats quite a list and its endless the amount of freeware outthere today .Still great the concept continues the only drawback i find is the amount of times theres a new version like every 2 months and im ask to upgrade not a biggie but annoying.

its going 2 put firefox to shame IE 7 is da bomb .

maybe its faster cause its scanning 1/5 the files of xp .

i too require such a batch script or reg also including 98se security settings.

win98 is still supported till 2006 countless service packs being made sp2.1 98se2me revoultions 3.6 etc etc all making 98se stable and current so read the forum before u jugde it.and have a beer.
