  1. dont think you can for 2 keyboards, as its part of the OS language you set in regional settings? I got the G15 Rev 2, quality keyboard
  2. i personally prefer Virtual PC, a lot more straight forward and quicker

    Goosh

    haha, that is pretty cool!
  4. i use windows defender as standard in the background, Eset System security and do scans with ad-aware
  5. LOL, what do you mean "that's not supposed to work"? I've never seen it not work. hehe, its never given me a false read out either
  6. winrar does hav best compression by far, but i never compress files, only open them, so for that i use winzip, ease of use, but i hav winrar as well
  7. nice choices mate, I got crucial ballistixs in my system atm, very good stuff, AND you cannot fault Crucial Support. I have the ballistixs that is known to go faulty (certain type, PC4000 DDR) I have had it go faulty on me 2 times now, but as its DDR, its stupid to buy anything else with the prices. BUT crucial ALWAYS have sent me a replacement within 48hours, superb! Anyway, pics when its built
  8. nice mate, i always use spreadsheets wen calculating things like this.
  9. CPU Intel Q9450 Good choice Mobo Gigabyte P35-DS3R (I've had it in my last rig, rock-solid mobo...) I personally go with ASUS, but go with what you know! RAM 4 x 2GB DDR2 / 1066MHz (not sure about the manufacturer, probably will be going for either Mushkin or Patriot) Manufacture wise, Id go for OCZ personally. HDD 4 x 250GB WD SATA2 / 16MB (neede for RAID10) WD drives, perfect PCI-E nVIDIA 9800 GTX (most likely from BFG) You MAY want to wait for the 9900 card thats comming out, dunno when, but seen nformation online about them. I'd go with XFX or EVGA. I've tried all BFG, XFX adn EVGA cards, BFG being number 3 in the ranks for me. DVD-RW probably ASUS (or any other, I don't burn a lot of media) Not NEC or Pioneer? PSU Spire 650W active PFC Go for a 750W, more juice for anything you do in the future. Anyway, some may nto agree, but hey, thats my 2 cents.
  10. Change of mind, go option 3, there better spec'd. Well, debatebly at different resolutions: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/dis...gs_9.html#sect1 But as the 96 has 1GB mem, go for that.
  11. played this a while ago with my mates, good laugh!

    XPize and SP3

yep, just to confirm tired it on another machine with my new nlite CD, Xpize works a treat!
  13. yeh, defo, new games now just take up a LOT of video ram. For example, Pipeline multiplayer map on COD4, on High settings with 1680x1050 resolution leaves my 512mb of video ram with just 2mb left! (weird as its a small map!) And crysis takes up over 320mb of ram most the time (medium and high settings mix)
  14. lol punto! have to love nlite! absolutely brilliant software, has to be the number 1 software to must have!

    XPize and SP3

XPize DOES work on a new install of XP and SP3. i used nlite (naturally ) to integrate SP3 ontop of SP1 CD, with fixes, tweaks etc and all worked when I installed Xpize after, theme and all.

    XPize and SP3

pretty neat Xpize is on the MS site!
  19. Two others I know of: Avira - http://www.free-av.com/ Avast - http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html Both free and very good.
  20. made a slight change to my side panel: BEFORE: NOW:
  21. My work machine which im on now is using 389MB with IE7 open, and AVG alogn with a Logitech web cam loader. Without IE open its 350MB. This is a LIGHTLY modifed nlited version of XP. Fully networking, uses Remote Dekstop and all the other features you need. Btw, thats 42 Processes with IE and 41 without, so moer processes than your screenshot in your first post, and a lot less ram usage.
