  1. Wait a minute ... Korea: isn't that the home of B. Kim, Arizona's reliever in 2001? Well, after building up NYs hopes this time, I think some of them had rough games in the Bronx, as well. Red Sox: A sweep, a delayed sweep, and another sweep ...
  2. Welcome, RBCC, to MSFN! I'm ignoring the new switches: I liked the old ones fine. Basically, the blue and white iconed hotfixes go in SVC-HF1, the others go in SVC-HF2. I mean, it isn't exactly rocket science, but it works for me. Not sure what the CD you have from Microsoft is, so I don't know. Some people do name the boot image boot.bin. Personally, I name it XPCTBOOT.BIN. Don't know about .ISS files: they are not used by Microsoft for updates/fixes.
  3. I'm going to hold on this till the next version. Do know that I install WIN2K servers with all the latest updates, and get it all in fine. No reason it should not work for you. Just a little more patience ...
  4. I don't think it will make a noticeable difference (could be wrong, too ...), but if you don't need it, no reason not to stay with DX7. Just make sure you have the latest fixes for it ... whichever they may be ...
  5. Indeed, SVC-PRE, or SVC-POS will do.
  6. Listen to Bilou_Gateux, he has the most experience in this.
  7. Perhaps a file protection issue, or even an anti virus program?
  8. Don't worry, Wraith, I think there is a bit of Aussie in me, too!
  9. I was going to say ... try both and see!
  10. Well thank you, too. Like Lily in Femme Fatal says, sugar is much better than vinegar!
  11. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll look into it.
  12. Eventually, probably. I may leave the User to create that and just put it in SVC-POS (to become SVC-CF2) for now. To be determined.
  13. ****, guess I'm going to have to get back to work. Or start buying lottery tickets: you never know what might happen.
  14. Actually, I think it is "something like it" you want. It is in about a dozen other threads in this forum, so I will make you search. One hint: be careful with the quotes.
  15. Calm down, RyanVM, this one isn't about MS Java (MSJVM ) . (Not that the Journal Viewer is worth much more ... )
  16. OK, OK, I'm going back to bed 'til game time ...
  17. As I recall, simply calling MSIEXEC does not work. (Then again, it is still early for me. could be wrong: try it! ) If not, you could use this example: http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/IEXPRESS/iexpress.htm
  18. Been a year so far: I hope to finish it very soon! Thanks for cleaning your posts. Silly how much of a difference two little dots can make! Now you may get some sleep!
  19. I remember seeing one, once, somewhere, but I seem to have lost it. There are also a few scanners out there that check for vulnerabilities: there are patches for XP, Office, and a few others, and even when Windows Update says you are fine, you may not be. I can't find any of it now, but I'll let you know if I do.
  20. Good! Now that we've got the preliminaries out of the way ... try changing CDBURNER=D to CDBURNER=D: (Who needs sleep: It's only 1:00 AM!)
