  1. No, XPCREATE does not replace any programs with others: it only updates existing files. MSN is not an update to WMS.
  2. That's correct: the hotfix lists are down due to lack of maintenance. Some hotfixes were referenced that no longer existed, and that just doesn't fly ... I'm hoping to have them back by mid-October.
  3. @DigeratiPrime: If you have downloaded all the files, DLAUTO=NO in XPCREATE.INI should prevent XPCREATE from even trying to download anything. As for troubleshooting the next version: everyone will be doing that very soon ... @MindMaster: Beats me: it looks like everything is setup fine ... It does seem the the downloading functionality just does not run right on some boxes. As I am migrating to a new release that dowwnloads differently, I won't be looking into it any further fir this release ... Sorry ...
  4. Indeed, WGET seems to be working. The firewall issues sometimes prevented iOpus from getting out. I have yet to try WGET from behind a proxy, but no reason that should not work ...
  5. Thanks for the list, SlackNet! ... Hope someone finds it in the Windows 2000 thread!
  6. Hmmm ... I wouldn't exactly call constant reboots working perfectly! Was it simply a burn error? As for the testing the next version: I am on the road these days, so everything is at a standstill for at least the next week. I'll let you know after.
  7. Why "surprised" ? The current version will create DVD sized ISOs. The next wersion, due out soon, supports DVD burning. Welcome to MSFN!
  8. Oh, so now you are selling it as the latest Alka-Seltzer? Fixes everything?
  9. Thanks for sharing that, homiebrah. Never tried ... It does work from Windows 2003.
  10. I would need to see the log files to understand why the boot image did not get added. Post them, and I will try to look at them tomorrow (no time today).
  11. True, that is probably the answer. Not sure why I was thinking "download hang" ... That is correct in the next release ...
  12. @hevnbnd: I know, I am still working outthe kinks with the DVDs. I don't know why the download stops: I will need the logs. You will be able to add the SATA drivers on your own, providing you know how to make the *.OEM file (which I have not posted ... ). I will get around to your drivers in a few days, and hopefully create a page that explains what the .OEM file for XPCREATE should look like. @VAD: You don't need perfect English to see that contradiction ... Should read Root directory, not I386. Ooops ...
  13. Nothing personal, of course. Just that by getting the files from Microsoft, I know that everyone will be able to do the same, and I don't have to question where they come from. I do like to keep it generic ...
  14. Thanks ... but I have this thing about getting my files from Microsoft. I think all the links are to be found in that other thread.
  15. It is a bug, and has been corrected in the next release. The best way is really to let XPCREATE do it's thing, and make modifications after the first successful run.
  16. Yes, it will. Type I Hotfixes will be renamed to the KB number.
  17. Welcome, crashking, to MSFN! I think frankiboy_01 has given you enough to get you started. Many of your questions are really not XPCREATE related, and perhaps you should first try to better understand the Unattended Concept (http://unattended.msfn.org) As for the hotfix lists, they are empty for the moment, as I am between versions. You will have to manually place the correct hotfixes in the corresponding directories ...
  18. @infini: You shold be fine with both SP2 Greek, and with the English VJM. @zanwang: I would be very interested to see the log files for a TW installation. Welcome to MSFN!
  19. XPCREATE does support RAID integration, but not (yet) for that chipset. Perhaps you could email me the drivers on the diskette that you use, pressing F6, to do a manual install.
  20. I don't remember for sure, and I don't have the file here, but I would guess SVC-X2M. If not that, then SVC-POS ... maybe. Let us know what worked!
  21. Welcome to MSFN, SlackNet! Don't you just wish you could delete your own posts sometime ...
  22. Thanks for sharing that, MtK! I hate having to install that everytime!
  23. Welcome to MSFN, aceit2400xp! Firstly, it should not hang on the file downloading. Could be a firewall or proxy issue. Second, the boot problem sounds like hardware/media? In any event, for more information on how to help me help you, olease read the following page, as well as the Smart Questions page that it links to: http://greenmachine.msfnhosting.com/XPCREATE/help.htm
  24. Thanks, Bilou_Gateux. I have updated the English Windows 2000 Test Version list (desole pour les non-anglophones ... ), as well as the Current Hotfix Page.
  25. Thanks, VAD. The first "problem" is behaviour by design. MyFiles represents the root of the CD, as does FILESCD. Up to you to create the sub-directories. I've been looking into the second problem. DVD+R get "formatted" every burn, where DVD-R need to be erased. I just have a logic bug in there that seems to do it backwards. I'll get it worked out ... Thanks for the report!
