  1. With all due respects.....you real problem is using Symantec Products..I have heard nothing but more bad than good with Norton AntiVirus..System Works and Firewall....some have no problems...but many more do have issues.
  2. Nero 6.6.0.8 is now available: Nero Burning ROM v6.6.0.8 - 21-feb-2005 Nero ROM 6.6.0.8 ftp://ftp.us.nero.com/Nero-6.6.0.8.exe Nero Media Player v1.4.0.29 ftp://ftp.us.nero.com/NMP-1.4.0.29.exe NeroMix v1.4.0.29 ftp://ftp.us.nero.com/NeroMIX-1.4.0.29.exe **didnt know wheter to merge this with the old 6.6.0.7 or what**
  3. there is a problem with last version of Ahead Nero Burning Rom 6.6.0.6 and previus versions. The image created with Nero become corrupted, I related it: How to reproduce the bug (NOT depend on Hardware Devices): 1º Choose "Image Recorder" as actual Burner. 2º Select new CD-ROM ISO compilation (is posible that the problem persit in other compilation type). 3º In ISO Page pick "Mode 1"as Data Mode. 4º Select "Disc at Once" as write method (if you chose TAO the image works fine). 5º When burning compilation, you are prompted to Save file, choose "ISO Image File" not NRG. The image created is then useless. And this is the answer from a Nero employee: QUOTE Looks like you have indeed found a bug. I am able to duplicate this in Nero 6.6.0.6, but not in Nero 6.6.0.1. I've created a bug entry on this issue. Not sure if this can be resolved before the new build we hope to post around Feb 22nd or later. "Havent checked this with the 6.6.0.7 ive got...but im sure the reason its taking so long...is because the bug is still present....so im sure 6.6.0.8 is coming
  4. Windows can crash and do weird things...if the drive showed offline...you could have went to 'Adminstrative Tools' Disk Management and put it back online....
  5. ATA: Advanced Technology Attachment usually supports drives from ATA 33 to ATA 133 (UDMA-80 Pin IDE Cable) SATA: Transfer rates for Serial ATA begin at 150MBps. So unless your motherboard supports SATA...then you might stay with Maxtor ATA 100/133...I have 4 Maxtor 80G Max9 ATA 133 UDMA installed. Plus the support and RMA's of Maxtor are unbeatable.
  6. isnt NVE already at 3.01.27 (Dated 1/24/2005 4:07:00PM)....its listed in the nero ftp site....rumor has it that 6607 is to fix the maximize bug.....a link was leaked today..but was pulled.
  7. Standard Quad Telephone Line has 4 wires...usually Red (Ring) Green (Tip) Yellow (Spare/Phone Lights) Black (Spare/Phonelights)....in laymans terms..the Red/Green are necessary..they act like a Postive and Negative...the Other two are either for a Trimline Phone..that uses a transformer for lights....or used as additional wires for 2nd Line....as for you download speeds....your usually cap at a certain bandwidth...so if your uploading while downloading...your using your max bandwidth...so one will either be less..depending...I have 1mb Upload..with 3mb Download...if im uploading..i usually dont see any changes will surfing the net while also Downloading...but the download speed will slow down a few K...as the balance of your Max Bandwidth...equals out.
  8. Here is the 2nd CD.....or you can just do the DVD thing...course I used CD Menu Pro for the Custom Install.

  19. right now...there is specualation about this version....however the MSDN ISO shows to be packed with 2.52...and alot of others are looking for this...some kid hex edited 2.47 to show 2.52 so be aware of any fake version....but to anwser your question....2.52 seems to be a mystery....and 2.47 works just fine.
  20. yeah..i think its fake..the 2.47 and this 2.52 have the same time stamp and header info...bu there is a 2.52...I got this info from MSDN a while back. Microsoft MSDN Library July 2004 DVD ISO QTR55ENUD1 2004-05-23 17:00:00.00 MICROSOFT CORPORATION MICROSOFT CORPORATION, ONE MICROSOFT WAY, REDMOND WA 98052, (425) 882-8080 CDIMAGE 2.47 (10/12/2000 TM) Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 RTM Update English CD ISO (NOTE: This CD is NOT the whole OS, SP2 RTM update only) VRMSP_EN 2004-08-04 12:00:00.00 MICROSOFT CORPORATION MICROSOFT CORPORATION, ONE MICROSOFT WAY, REDMOND WA 98052, (425) 882-8080 CDIMAGE 2.52 (03/09/2004 TM)
  21. its based on this information...obtained from Microsoft and MSDN...personally..that MS used 2.52...but i think the one posted here is fake..the headers and time stamps are the same. Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 RTM Update English CD ISO (NOTE: This CD is NOT the whole OS, SP2 RTM update only) VRMSP_EN 2004-08-04 12:00:00.00 MICROSOFT CORPORATION MICROSOFT CORPORATION, ONE MICROSOFT WAY, REDMOND WA 98052, (425) 882-8080 CDIMAGE 2.52 (03/09/2004 TM)
