  1. not sure what you mean....but you might browse thur this site and its tweaks http://www.tweakxp.com/performance_tweaks.aspx (speed up menu) HomePage http://www.tweakxp.com/
  2. you should be able to install the 3.1 twain driver listed here: http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/...oduct=94&OS=Win Thats basically all the camera is Twain Compliant Driver...like the Scanner..have your tried that. if you can get your camera working...and just want the 'Olympus D640R' so show up when its connected and listed in the control panel 'scanners and cameras'..that can be changed in the registry...I can name my HP 620 to anything I want: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{6BDD1FC6-810F-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F}\0001] "FriendlyName"="hp photosmart 620"
  3. I've got a HP Digital Camera....and when I installed the software for it in Win 2003 Server Enterprise edition...it works just fine...I also use Cam2PC 4.36..which I find to be better...and my camera is listed...once its connected....it won't show in "Scanners and Cameras" in the control panel....untill its connected
  4. what...someone don't believe you.....LOL
  5. Well.....when you first click on a file....it trys to give you a .exe...just close it..and click on it two more times...then you will get a .zip file...at least thats how I do the Desktops.....don't be so fast to judge....and be more investigative.....
  6. Well...almost tip-top..but not quite... I would check the "cookie" settings and any firewall/popup blocker settings.
  7. .Net FrameWork 1.1 SP1 for Server 2003 is avalible here NetFrameWork 1.1 SP1 Server2003
  8. your exactly right....thanks...forgot...i didnt bother to download that .net 1.1...thanks
  9. funny...i get an error...tryin to run this in XP...but runs fine in my Server2003 box.
  10. well I have a ASUS A7V333 with onboard sound...and the only jumpers needed is either to enable or disable onboard sound....if your front panel worked..then it has to be the fact that your rear jacks are not connected right on the MB.....also I have the C-Media Chipset....and everything is done with the Software and the icon in the task bar....setting 6channel...so you might check you Onboard Sound Software.
  11. Did you check your Manual...and check the bio' settings...im sure if you checked the manual..when you disconnected the front panel...you need to now connect the rear panel.
  12. @codejunkie...why are you still posting....stuff...Your Question to you first post has been anwsered.....2158 is the time stamp...or in the future use the MD5 Hash Check.
  13. I was just gonna tell you...that most power calibration errors in Nero are due to p*** poor quality CDR's...I find Imatition my favorite....followed with TDK
  14. What has happened....that Volume System Information...is your "Backup"...seems one of your System Restore Points...contains a Virus.....you are safe unless you decide to restore that particular "date".....you should delete the complete "restore point'....your anti-virus software will not be able to delete it...since it is a 'Protected" Backup.....
  15. well hehe good for you...maybe you can hehe share in this thread for others to know exactly what you hehe did...I think its disrespectful to those in this thread..that have helped or are still seeking anwsers...that when one finds his solution...to then run off..without explaining...so that other will have ideal to help future members....hehe
  16. if you didnt create a password...what happens when you leave it blank and hit enter...if it says...invalid...then you did make one...and need to 'do some brain strorming"
  17. Windows works fine..when you first install it...it all that crap you tend to add...and back to the car sample.....thats like adding the them fuzzy dice to the rear view mirror...because it looks cute..and then you total your car because of ignorance and couldnt see out of the front windshield...then have the gull to blame the car manufacturer. Many software manufacturer...probably care less if there programs work with MS..they got your money...and expect you to blame MS.....
  18. Longhorn Server...isnt here...and may not....Server 2003 is deployed and widely used....if i was to make money...I think I would choose something that is present and not someone dream.
  19. Its also true...that alot of people don't have the issues...some do...I think alot of problems are a results of: Poor Computer Management Inexperience Laziness To quick to install a program because it looks pretty and is free I know some with the mentality that one can just get in a car and drive it for life..not knowing that you do have to change oil and replace tires every now and then...."READ THE OWNERS MANUAL" is usually a good start. No one says you have to install SP2...or for that Matter use any Microsoft Product...more people should take the time to learn and listen...instead of Whine and if you think you are living in a Perfect World..then someone needs to make you an appointment with a psychologist.
  20. when you run the winnt32.exe from windows...you will be able to see your setup screen..and also upgrade screen...but i found if you edited your winnbbu.dll...and removed a .bmp or did it wrong...you will get the error....i used 'resource tuner' and thought i could delete 101.bmp and when i did....i got error...and couldnt continue.....
  21. go with Norton Ghost 2003....with it you can edit inside the .gho image...Drive Image and True Image...only allow you to delete within a image...Ghost you can Add/Update Files....Ghost is faster and takes only 1 Floppy to boot with...and compresses better....example my 4.3g OS Server 2003...saved as Fast Compress...is 1.8g....that not even the max compression of Ghost.
  22. I did all this...to see if it works....seems it doesnt....filled in all the passwords....use ftp program and browser...got to the page to sign in...and doesnt log me in....even allowed anonomous connections...guess ServU is the best
  23. What do you mean....inside a folder.....if thats what your talking about...open a folder then to to the top and select 'Veiw"..then choose 'Tiles' 'Thumbnails' or 'Icons'
  24. did you intergrate the boot.bin file into the AIO....when making your image.....I use CDRWIN...and you have to select "make bootable" then include the boot file.
