  1. Not on topic but BurnAware Free works very well. Not to replace nero/roxio but it is very capable. BurnAware/ImgBurn combo is great. For DVD authoring, there many more alternatives. I will make a test with cmdow to see if i can repack nero with 7sfx.
  2. You answered your own question You don't need double quotes as long as your path doesn't contain spaces. In the command above, you only have to enclose the serial number.
  3. You are welcome. I'ts good to know that overwriting previous installers works well.
  4. Will try the new language remover tomorrow. thanks.
  5. I got an error with CoverDesigner. It was asking for a .Def file when i tried to open it. I made an installer with Express, Recode and CoverDesigner only. Also, i removed all languages except spanish and english.
  6. You can try installing it over the one you have (provided it is one of my versions). I always uninstall the previous version in order to test properly. If you uninstall it, make sure you reboot before installing the new version.
  7. Main post updated. iTunes Switchless 8.0.2.20 installers are ready for download.
  8. It was 7-Zip SFX module fault. I repackaged my install using WinRAR and it installed without problems.
  9. You can always download Office and Vista updates from microsoft and extract the cab files to use with WSIM by running this command in the folder that has the update files: FOR %i IN (*) DO (START "Expand" /WAIT %Windir%\System32\Expand.exe %i -f:* C:\Temp\MSU) The destination folder must exist.
  10. This isn't working for me I've made three different packages. One with only Nero and Nero Express, other with those and CoverDesigner and another with all the latter plus Recode. The SFX extract the files, setupX launches, works for a while in the background but nothing gets intalled. I even created the SFX manually, witht the same result.
  11. I already build my installers. I'm just waiting for the server to come online to upload and publish them.
  12. Modified the original post to include an updated version of the tutorial and added links to my switchless installers for Messenger (English and Spanish) and the required components.
  13. You should post this in the nLite section. You must have removed a required component for iTunes to work properly. Maybe there you can find out which one(s) is(are) required.
  14. You need to install first SPTD from here. As it is necessary a reboot after SPTD, in Vista i install it at first logon. Then i run a cmd file that puts an entry in RunOnce so Alcohol installs the next time i reboot the computer. I made an AutoIt script to install it without the SCSi and other stuff. Hope this helps.
  15. The last version worked by grabbing the MSI installer (look for it in your temp dir) and using switches to enter the serial. I don't remember exactly the switch but you can search the forum for it. The 2009 Home version still extracts the MSI, so, jut try using the switch to enter the serial during unattended setup.
  16. You can also make an SFX archive (or other setup authoring) using the portable version. This way you avoid the shell extension additions at all and more lines in your script/cmd files.
  17. I don't have an iPhone to test. But you can try installing Mobile Device just as RHPT said to see if it works. Please post your results.
  18. version 4.0.0.2 is in the server ready for download.
  19. Here is a tutorial for batch files. For application switches, navigate this forum, you will find plenty of information for the programs you want.
  20. You are right. I left the call to msistub in the config file but i changed a different sfx module that doesn't need it. I'm uploading (slowly...) the modified installer. Download it again later.
  21. Well, you need to know about CMD files and applications switches. MSFN unattended guide is a good place to start. For what you want, the easiest way is to maintain a folder with all your setups (if you use reg files or other files, make a folder for every app) and the CMD file that will execute them. Here is an example to get you started: start /wait .\Install\microsoft\netfx35\dotNetFx35setup.exe /qb /norestart start /wait .\Install\microsoft\directx\dxsetup.exe /silent start /wait .\Install\microsoft\cpp2005.exe /Q:A /R:N start /wait cpp2005sp1.exe /Q:A /R:N The syntax used is for a cmd file located in the same folder as Install. The last line refers to a file in the same folder as the cmd file.
  22. They are using Install4j setups. I made a switchless installer. If you are interested, you can download it here.
  23. You can minimize the size of .NET 3.5 SP1 by keeping only the folder and files meant for x86 or x64 depending on your case. Just be sure to don't delete something else. Then you can run dotNetFx35setup.exe /qb /norestart This way i got the size down to ~120 mb However, i don't know of any way to just install a given SP for a previous framework.
  24. Picking up where Shark007 left, i wrote a little tutorial to modify the original msi installer. A spanish version is also available. This works with the latest version: 14.0.8064.0206. You can get the direct links to download the full Windows Live Installer in different languages here. The tutorial is in RTF format and the ZIP file includes two tables that you need to import using Orca or other authoring apps. Update: The tutorial now includes instructions to prevent WLM from not showing an uninstall entry. I have made switchless installers for English and Spanish, and the required components. You can use them to replace your patched files as well, you just need to extract the Messenger installer with 7-Zip or WinRAR to a folder and replace the files. Note: If you want to use my switchless installers, make sure you install WLM9 Requisites Switchless as well. Otherwise, it won't work. You can download them here. Note: SVCPACK compatibility is not tested. wlm9tutorial.zip
